Fortune must be really desperate for some good news to offset the bad if he still hasn’t released the annual results yet. Last day and they’re still not out.

Of course this is typical of this company.

Jena also are developing a cheaper alternative.

Just listened to the Invinity Investor Meet presentation.

A few things of note:

VRFB companies are only now starting to own up how tiny they are and that they can’t meet customers expectations for large projects.

They did not tender for any of the ESKOM BESS and cannot comment on Hyosong’s involvement.

They claim to be well ahead of any rival VRFB manufacturers and was quite forceful in that assessment

They did tender for our minigrid, but were priced too high and were grateful that they didn’t win it. I guess it will be loss making for Cellcube.

They said that their (Invinity) current VRFB is too expensive and loss making.

They do see big things with the Siemens joint product as it will be in the multi megawatt category.

They are also looking towards the US to get a better valuation. Pity we didn’t listen to Garnet in our case.

They also mentioned a Chinese company that can use to build at scale.

This weeks news from Ambri just highlights the catastrophic failure of Fortune and Mikhail to not win a single commercial VRFB contract. At 1,200MWh, this single contract that they won is almost as large as the entire ESKOM BESS which we were in pole position to win according the BBN and the rampers and has been in the pipeline for years.

Just look back at the lies, hype and failure in the company RNS’s over the years. Several claimed that they would install VRFB’s, they claimed years ago also that they were negotiating electrolyte contracts, rental contracts and tendering for VRFB contracts. Nothing was ever delivered.

How did an alternative technology and chemistry waltz in to our patch and win this contract?

Well the truth is VRFBs have been hyped up as the only alternative to lithium and any other technology has been trashed by Alfacomp and his cronies. Better people than him have decided he is wrong with a massive commitment to an alternative.

So when pitted against this other project as a demonstration of technology and costs which one do you think has the edge? A 1MW VRFB or 300MW liquid metal battery that is already as cheap as lithium?

His full tweet did say there was some hope for phase 2 as some of them where more suitable for vfrbs at least this frank Spencer is communicating he had already let loose that the mini grid was delayed to end of the year maybe he was the one who leaked the $151 million as that was in the public domain well before the rns to ...there was an article about it 1 week before the rns!!! ...you couldn't make the script up.to be honest no wonder gahs done a runner he might have jumped off a tower ...or a cliff

I can’t disagree with that. So all we have potentially is a low rise back to some sort of level off the back of Vametco getting back into production, vanchem kiln 3 ramping up, Enerox listing and progress with the electrolyte plant.

It’s difficult to see any of the above making a substantial impact on the share price

I really don’t know why Fortune and Mikhail haven’t been given the boot with a new CEO coming in with the first job of a strategic review. Get rid of all the dead wood businesses, refocus and reset.

The only thing left to hold on to is possible news from BE on the ESKOM front, but I won’t hold my breath for obvious reasons. There’s been no announcement yet despite the prime contractors being announced and as I have said many time the VRFB production capacity and supply chain just isn’t ready following years of delays and missed targets.

Fortune has got a bunker mentality. He hardly shows his face and when he does it’s through friendly PR interviews to a script. The guy is an absolute shambles of a CEO to allow the share price to get to where it is today. Still as long as he gets his rent and bonus that’s the main thing.

Remember when he said he would love to buy shares, but can’t because of closed periods? Complete tosh. He probably won’t turn up to the AGM to avoid further scrutiny like he’s done before.
