13/11/2020 10:20 | Or,to use another simile used elsewhere last week, like a beached turtle on its back, flailing around aimlessly. ( Guess which politician!)
I suppose we can't be too surprised. All these top 100 AmLaw companies are connected in myriad ways.Burford,as the largest purchaser of legal services is connected or has done business with almost all of them.Of course the companies have protocols in place,'Chinese walls'as mentioned. It would be churlish to think the defendants are unaware of this. No,this is just another tool in the tool kit.If it's available, buys more time, let's use it. | djderry
13/11/2020 10:17 | Or a delusional president .....? | kazoom
13/11/2020 09:53 | Judge Preska is being extremely indulgent to Argentina and YPF. Surely they would have sought assurances that there was no current or prior connections to Burford from their prospective law firms before appointment - if this was as important as it now appears.
On the other hand, if you understand that your case is weak, and chopping and changing your lawyers isn't going to matter ultimately. Which must be hugely disruptive and time consuming as they need to pick-up, and acquaint themselves with the case. At least you can use it as a reason to buy more time.
Argentina and YPF are thrashing around like a dead man clinging to a live electric wire. | maddox
13/11/2020 09:15 | Good find, lomax.Without wishing to comment on the merits or otherwise of the Argentinian's actions,it certainly buys them more time. The name of the game! | djderry
13/11/2020 08:47 | Thanks for posting New lawyers a good sign | williamcooper104
12/11/2020 16:14 | Next to nothing volume stateside. US listing has been a bit of a damp squib. Onwards and hopefully upwards from here. | kfr20
12/11/2020 15:32 | 3.30pm the share price in New York has just
Jumped 4% to $10. The London quote still shows 0.76% down for the day . | mathurin1
11/11/2020 18:43 | Possible turns 11/11/2020 & 13/11/2020 | bamboo2
10/11/2020 10:15 | A weaker dollar will be contributing to the difference in the movement %'s | dekle
10/11/2020 09:57 | The UK market for BUR stock is not looking efficient or competitive - are we effectively being charged a c5% surcharge by the MM for the inconvenience/lack of interest on their part, in the aim sub-listing? Market making has always been a bit of a mystery to me. | time_traveller
09/11/2020 21:28 | Well it did rise by 5.6% at 11.40am Eastern Time so it's the equivalent of GBP7.51 now. Not reflected in the AIM price. | warno01
09/11/2020 19:42 | Hi Flare1,
.." Personally, I wouldn't trust Trump with a post code..."
I'm told he doesn't trust the post office either....;->

09/11/2020 19:17 | bamboo2,
Personally, I wouldn't trust Trump with a post code. | flare1
09/11/2020 19:04 | bamboo2, ...he's probably been given the "little tikes" version of the nuclear football! | stentorian
09/11/2020 19:01 | Wonder if he still has the codes to the nukes? | bamboo2
09/11/2020 18:58 | g r s
Agreed totally, no doubt Trump will make a fuss about it. I'd still like Trump and henchmen removed, maybe the FBI/CIA will take another look at him. | rar100
09/11/2020 18:30 | If this had been announced a few days earlier it is likely Trump would have gained the tiny extra percentage votes he needed in the 5 key swing states. Make no mistake, the timing of this was quite deliberately just after, rather than just before the election. | gettingrichslow
09/11/2020 14:25 | Just be pleased the announcement was after, rather than before the US election. I wonder if Trump will sue? | scubadiverr
09/11/2020 14:15 | So on one of the biggest vaccine announcements in months BUR barely reacts.. never stops amazing me this share | dagoberia
09/11/2020 14:01 | Amen William | rar100
09/11/2020 13:17 | Some use these bb as a groupie chat group to praise BUR and it's management and curse anyone who suggests anything other - or who sold out when MW attacked As the old saying goes - never fall in love with a stock | williamcooper104
09/11/2020 13:04 | And just to annoy Maddox - BUR - my bottom marker, by a friggin mile! (Edit, actually probably not, because I'll be amongst his 80% filterees for having had the temerity to suggest the share price might go down last year, albeit no such concerns nowadays) | time_traveller
09/11/2020 09:47 | Some posters seem to think this BB is some sort of support group where they can express their anxiety and angst, externalising their frustrations, disappointments and inadequacies. No doubt it's cheaper than therapy. For the rest of us - we have the filer functionality. | maddox
