One interesting aspect of this attack has been the willingness of the mainstream press to give the shorters view the benefit of the doubt. For Bogart and Molot to get to Guernsey from the US would be a huge journey: much better that the NEDs do the legwork and B&M get direct flights imo. On the other hand, paying for spouses isn’t right.


This is a very good point. I have noted the same in several stocks which have undergone bear attacks. Metrobanks springs to mind. All press coverage is negative. It is very sad. I know for a fact that many hedge fund managers not only speak to each other (which is why they are always in the same crowded trades that blow up) but they are also quite pally journalists so they can (mis)inform them at will.

And I also believe in putting my money where my mouth is.I will be buying another 25K ( euro) of these at 8.30 am,whatever the price.I will continue to add to the tens of thousands of shares I own.You,and others,can keep putting the bear case.I have not sold a single share in Burford and will not be scared out of my holdings.
