O/T. Invesment idea's, for those who haven't looked at these two already?!
FWIW I've invested some BGL cash in REM and BCN, about £7k in each, may add more on weakness.

BCN is a lithium play and looks to have a world class find in Mexico that should have v.low cost of production. Early days atm but looks v.interesting.

REM owns about 13% of BCN and has some direct ownership of some of BCN's lithium assets, plus a couple of other rare earth early stage projects.

Both have the potential to do amazingly well if they can prove up and get project funding. Last point, it seems Telsa are planning a $5billion lithium battery factory near the Mexicon border, and will require possibly 15- 20% of the worlds current output of lithium. This is a good presentation from Bacarona.

IG are saying 18th August at the earliest. If the offer is declares unconditional it will then be within 10 days of said declaration.

My other borker is saying mid August.

What a farce. Did someone here mention 14 days within acceptance to get paid?

This is what Hargreaves are saying regarding me holding-

This stock is an interim line resulting from a corporate action that will be exchanged for cash and/or stock.

They are showing sold on my account but still no money released.

Their default stance was not accept - but if you had a position, you had to accept by 14 July.

Didn't IG say they would not be able to take up the offer via spread bets?

Who said Condor Gold? I missed out on that. Will buy on a dip but I cannot see a dip anytime soon. Looking at Shanta Gold (SHG) now. Any thoughts?

TD are paying in tranches. The earlier you accepted the earlier you get the money.

With every broker coming up with a totally different excuse for late payment it does make me think they are making it up as they go along. Bloody useless.

Still awaiting payment from one of my brokers their response to my message:

"The acquisition of Bullabulling Gold by Norton Gold Fields is expected to be completed by 07/28/2014. We expect to receive payment within 3-5 business days of the completion date."

Good Afternoon Mr.,

I'm emailing further to our conversation regarding the Bullabulling Gold takeover payment. My colleague in our corporate action department has tried to get further information; they've advised the payment date hasn't yet been announced on the market and the offer has been extended so the payment will be received later as a result of this.

I'm sorry we're not able to confirm the date at this time. I'll continue to monitor this for you and when a payment date is released I'll contact you.

I trust this has been useful and I hope you enjoy the rest your day.

Kind regards
Bernadette Gallagher

Just off the phone with BS. They say the payments are made in 3 separate tranches depending on when the offer was accepted. They have already paid out on T1 and T2 but as I accepted late, my payment will be on tranche 3. They will get back to me with an approximate date when that will be.

I checked with my broker and they will process individual requests, they don't have to deal with this as a block. Yes, Alliance Trust are talking rollocks.

thanks LF / Tem...

I unfortunately shoved all my BGL into my isa over time. Backfired since I can not recognise the loss...
