Angle looks an interesting proposition, with key events coming up on a reasonably short horizon BB?

4 legs , I remember you as giving a good summary of events and belief to hold . There were not many of us around at the time following BTG.

Good to hear you are doing good elsewhere with Angle.

Hello bargainbob, nice of you to remember me.

Fortunately did well with BTG, despite not hanging on to the end.

Very pleased to have moved BTG investment to Angle plc (AGL).

Does anyone know how long we have to wait until we receive the money for the shares we still hold?

Yes very sad. I held them through originally protherics. So for a nearly twenty years. My posting on iii came under up protherics. I now post under Upomega. Maybe omega Diagnostics could be a company long term holders of BTG maybe interested in

2nd and 3rd all that. Long long journey. I'd cashed out before the take over but one of my better investments. Remembering fondly those buys under £1.00.

Interesting how much focus was on Varisolve (or whatever they call it) which was the big hope an to date a dud (I sold out when she suggested it was a slow burn launch) but in the end didn't really matter I guess.

See you all around, somewhere no doubt.

A happy/sad day …
Congratulations to everyone who kept the faith, it was challenging at times but ultimately very rewarding.
Well done too to everyone at BTG. I hope BSX looks after you, you deserve that as you are an example of all the is great about Britain.
Good luck all!

A very sad day for Britain as another uk listed company gets bought out by an American company just as all the signs were that BTG was to have a very successful future and us the patient shareholders were to start earning dividends.
I had the same thing happen with Axis shield just as there lead product was gaining market dominance!

Farewell to BTG after several successful years ( via Biocompatibles)& as The Board all resigned today I am hoping that Louisa may take up the vacant role of CEO at Vectura-which I appreciate is wishful thinking -but she may feel she has one more lucrative challenge before a fully Non exec life beckons

Certainly until November bargainbob, can't waste the well earned windfall.I did halve my holding earlier this year, paid the cost of sales and invested in a couple of good dividend payers..... Mrs F is happy with her new Mini as well.

BargainBob Vectura has been an absolute dog of a share for the last two or three years! I keep topping up when I think they’ve turned the corner only for them to go even lower but hopefully all the bad news is in the share price.
A biotech that has definitely turned the corner is silence Therapeutics which has quadrupled in the last month and there should be more to come, but I would say is more of a gamble than vectura but the rewards should be a lot greater if all goes well. DYOR

It's going to be a two- three year period before they get resolution of their patent case against GSK AND we see how successful their programme to copycat GSK's Ellipta range of treatments becomes.Until then they should remain cash generating to fund their r&d programme and keep their heads down.Given that success I would expect a takeout by Hikma, or even GSK themselves. Not one for widows and orphans! My real gamble is on Parkmead Group where I believe there will be significant progress on three key o&g projects in the North Sea and West of Shetland.Again cash generation from existing operations pays the bills.Door of course!
