Cash is king!Balance sheet write offs affect 'profit' forecasts and are the mechanism for dealing with failed projects at an early stage, recognising that there will have been cash outlays in buying rights and r&d costs.If there are no more real cash shocks to come AND the continuing businesses deliver the cash, spyder could be on the right track.

The chart is starting to look very interesting from a positive perspective.
The last time you could buy BTG shares at this level was in November 2013 - a lot of good things have happened since then!
The market should value shares based on future cash flows, but sometimes it focuses more on the current mood. I think we might finally be moving away from the latter and towards the former :-)

My target price of £3-4 was based on 9-24 months. That timeline was given because of all the bad news that I am expecting will be out in the open. I don't wish holders ill, and I hope the price goes higher for you. All in all, time will tell.

Curiously, the explanation given in today’s Times for the share price rise is “shift towards a product sales business pleases investors.”
I’m not sure why that happened at 1pm yesterday?!

One of Britain’s most prominent healthcare companies shot to the top of the FTSE 250 amid speculation that it was being considered a takeover target. BTG closed up 6.7 per cent, or 33¼p, at 529½p as rumours spread of preparations for a bid.

The share price relentlessly ticked up from Lunchtime onwards yesterday, there could be a couple of possible reasons for this;
1) US buying? Based on a return of the bid rumour with a US predator?
2) UK buying precipitated by lunchtime gossip in the City’s pubs and bars - the favourite Friday bid punt?
Or this is just a bit on confirmation bias!
