The IM business is an excellent business to be in. Barriers to entry are extremely high. I think that is what most investors are here for. The rest is just an 'interval play'.

To many unknowns going forward. Varithena and CroFab are my two main concerns now. Varithena is not producing enough revenue, and imo will be written down. And Louise is playing down Anavip. It's cheaper and that is what counts!

On a positive I think the IM business is cracking, always have done.

Re the webcast. I noted the CEO comment re Varithena in the Q and A session. In response to a Q she did say it was early days but she was pleased with the recent take up from the high volume physicians, being the targeted sector. Doesn't tell us much, I accept,and we still have to wait till the end of 2018 to tell us whether Varithena is a viable product.

A further update at the time of the AGM could throw more light. Rest of the webcast was fine with lots of product showing decent growth but the whole thing didn't have any zing as far as I was concerned.

Great webcast, positive, open and confident.Plenty of growth potential for the IV and IO businesses and a readiness to tackle the Crofab threat.Key decisions on Varithena And PneumRx this year.Let's see what the analysts feedback is over the next few days.As a minor issue, if the Zytiga patent position in the US extends beyond 2018 up to 2020, that's a lot more cash income to count.

Just before the market Bell, initial thoughts:Varithena decision coming in the next twelve months- I'll be searching for market reviews.PneumRx initial fda meeting in June I believe which will be a game changer and balance sheet revaluation if positiveWill they buy the Crofab competitor?Appeal in progress for the Wellstat fiasco.Apart from those a very good performance!Reporting in US dollars from this year will raise awareness in the US.....relocation or quotation on NASDAQ possible.Now..... three minutes to the market opening.......

Just over £6m for Varithena. Not good after nearly four years! Eps of 4p. X150 earnings.

Little weed, I suspect you are correct. If, I was any good I would have got out at £8 over three years ago instead of waiting for Varithena. The product has failed and I am not hanging around for the write down/off.

Next week we will hopefully find out more about this Wellstat litigation. A further concern in the recent weakness in Sterling - will the £55 million cover it all?

Surprised the share price has recovered.

CT, if it comes to a write off, it will be in the region of $2-300 million and that could just about can the ceo and her career.Not a matter to be taken lightly.But next week could tell!

Saw today how laser does Varethena job in a seconds and big ones removes with injections with no Varethena formula, which not expensive.
Wish to have more details , but video clip was very short.

Just a trading pattern. Only 95k shares traded all day so far.It will control like this until the results in the next week or two.We need a positive statement on progress with the businesses and no more nasty surprises.Varithena hangs over sentiment imho and until that reaches good steady sales growth the possibility of a pull out will taint the market view.....and mine.

Looking at last years numbers interventional oncology was comparable in size to Sirtex and growing at a fair lick.The analysts should be sharpening their pencils ahead of BTG's results this month.

$1.3 billion dollars if you please!No idea how Sirtex compares with BTG's beads business.
