For my sins I brought a few more this am. In medium term can see these certainly above £2, and my bet is that they do not cancel divi but maybe slash 50% which still gives me a 5% return. Not on my top table of stocks but I expect BT will turn the tide in the next 2-3 yrs if you have patience ( I have plenty) GLA

Not participating in the rally at all.

Rest of my portfolio is doing well.

With the lockdown you'd imagine BT would be receiving much more business?

Figures if half Decent with some kind of dividend, should get it going to 155p.

BT have a Market Cap of £11.60bln, (EE cost £12bln.) With P/E currently around 5.37 times. Compare that to National Grid at a current P/E over 21.90 times.
IMHO, BT are ridiculously cheap. Happy to hold until the market catches up.

I would say everything in the shareprice now, that's why they are not 215p and are 115p.

I don't I'm looking for free cash flow of 2.2 billion pounds. It a cash cow, don't pay your quarterly bill they cut you off.

Free cash flow will be around 2.2 billion. That's the important number. I think prudent to cut 50% dividend and that's priced in,some bears saying dividend passed. Just have to wait and see.

monty...think yur mind is too fixated to 50% divi cut which would still be a good yield in comparison to other normal rate of returns...why not cut the other 50% and halt it temporarily and then re instate back to lower level in 2021...by then a lot more financial impact from the Coronavirus will be clear...use that money to pay down debt/pension or whatever as bound to be some customer defaults/leaving during this period...it could still be good news for share price...

Nothing going to happen until figures couple of weeks time. Ok up a couple of pence, down a couple of pence treading water until the figures. Then big movement up or down, I expect 50% cut in dividend. Still a great yield and shares would rise. But of course only my view.

Monty as I posted on rdsb thread your analysis there has been spot on .

However on this board with all due respect to date you appear to have been a contrarian
Indicator of where the share price is going.

You don’t need much bandwidth to send emails. Most people use more bandwidth watching porn than they do for work. 2meg copper in the 00’s was enough for most work related stuff unless you were compiling large amounts of data. Very low level fibre should manage ok for 90% of home workers. Maybe better WiFi will be required if they have four kids on apps and the misses on Netflix.

I think that the H2 dividend will be held at 10.78p, with an announcement that future dividends will be rebased from 15.40p, to 10.00p for the full year going forward. The market will like this outcome IMHO.
