If you like small telecoms, especially with ebusinesses now adding services for staff to work from home, see £4m micro cap Toople (Toop) headed up by ex Talk Talk man Andy Hollingworth and aiming to get 5% of the UK SME market in the next few years for a possible mcap of £400m to £500m.

Toop could 100x bag from here.

Tried that, couldnt reach ;-) ....I think prices will increase by around 10 per cent a year for a few years, covering the pension deficit. A small price to pay for something we need, especially considering the sums being showered on the world for things we dont need... anymore!

BT. has IMO too much debt and over 7 Billion pension deficit , these could now possibly sink it unless the UK Government perhaps decides to nationalize it along with several others that are in similar dire straits.

The BOE buying new issued bonds might be tried first though, but the queue to get these away in coming months is already IMO growing ever longer.

---------------- Covid-19 a very insidious virus ------------------

The Covid-19 situation is bad enough in this first wave sweeping through various continents and ALL countries of the Globe.

However till a treatment and cure is found then after lock downs are removed

There is a very real IMO chance of a second wave of infections which would then lead to a second tranche of lock downs

Therein lies the nub of the Covid-19 problem

Circa 25% of people with Covid-19 do not show any symptoms and do not even know they have got it BUT they are spreading it to others .

USA markets will dictate where the EU and UK go

Jobless claims have doubled in a week

With weeks to go as cases increase in NY City and now LA and other US cities kicking off it is difficult to find an argument to support US markets rallying as unemployment numbers continue to rise further .

On present trajectory such claims look set to top 12M within 10 days IMO

FTSE to 4500 is buywell call

Some FTSE 100 stocks may well have to be nationalized

UK Debt could well now rise to circa 200% of present 2.2 Trillion pounds GDP before a cure and vaccine are found , these may even not be forthcoming.

A different Flu comes along each year
Flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses
Not much difference , both can cause pneumonia ,
pneumonia can then cause sepsis
sepsis then can cause septic shock , with a 40% fatality rate

Covid-19 might be here to stay albeit slightly mutated each year

10% of over 80's are dying from sepsis and septic shock after acquiring Covid-19

What I agree bt is a solid company that will continue to be profitable. Yes I agree.

What more do you want. Kiss your toes?

It's one month refund... at the moment. It implies they will do it every month until sports resume.

It's a minor headwind and generally I'd say its factored into the current price. Potentially with businesses folding their is a chance of a hit from dlbqd debts.

Offices are used to using phone lines which h is a ni e little earner. People working from home will use internet meetings so what impact there?

I was hoping for a little more than "i agree" and that you personally dropped out a few years ago.

For what its worth i could not give a flying ..... about one months BT sport rebate!
As far as i am concerned, donate it to the NHS workers and put a few quid more with it!

I agree flaton. In fact, I existed the rat race a few years ago.

Anyway, in other news:

BT Sport customers can now apply for a refund following disruption to sporting events.

At present you can claim back the value of one month's membership. How much this is will be depends on your package.

Visit bt.com/sportsupport to apply, and enter your name, email address and account number.

BT.A All things considered right now, a reasonably profitable and intact company upgrading and improving the very heart of the internet, at a cost of less than £1 per day or so, for work, recreation etc and access to just about anywhere in the world, at anytime, instantly!

Versus ...Big oil and commuting for many hours (around 4hours)a day to an overloaded city. Just to park at my local station is now around £10 per day for the privilege of crawling home in a sea of traffic upon my return, at a cost of £100 per week to get to
an office on a glorified Cattle truck, that may or may not be running at all!

I could go on like this for ever and a day, whats the point... Mankind has to ultimately
be the most stupid creature on the planet. Bar none!

Look up peeps, the sky is clearing, the veil has been lifted. This Coronavirus could actually save the world. Dont let all the deceased just become a statistic!

THINK ABOUT IT, it is so obvious! F2
