I also noticed this Ham. You do realise Monty was a big fan of the 80's/90's TV show 'Play Your Cards Right" and in particular switching from higher to lower (and vice versa)...

I see Monty is true to form on the IAG board.
He was invested long there a week or two ago, exalting the bright future, share price going to shoot up, etc.
Then, what do you know? He has obviously sold his long position and now it's doom and gloom for IAG.
Badmouthing a share which you have just sold a long position on after praising it is just childish and quite nasty.

China hasn't yet had (or admitted to) their first recession - Western style.
Now that's going to be interesting.

No Deal is better than Bad Deal IMHO. As a country we need to to be self sufficient.

Toon. Regarding Brexit. I think May will present the Chequers plan, the EU will present their plan, the UK will have to accept the EU plan and take it back to the government to vote on.
When it gets there, the remainers will vote against (last chance to derail Brexit) and the the Brexiteers will reject it (as it will be too soft for them).

What happens after that is anyones guess?

Or, I guess a deal may be agreed, but I lean towards the former than the latter.

Time will be against all and delays are quite likely.

Monty says Vodafone is a better buy than BT...
He still likes to slam for something to do, as I pointed out the other day over half the FTSE had dropped more than BT since ex-divi day. And Monty swears this share is the best short in the FTSE.

I am sure because Vodafone operates in so many competitive markets around the world, the next few years will continue to see a slew of mergers with local rivals or exiting (selling) to rivals.
The cost of price wars and rolling out 5G in 70+ countries will be enormous.

And every payday loan company is about to go to the wall.
(regardless of the EU, and good riddance, credit unions should be made more widespread).

I have heard the adverts on the radio from ex-PPI insurance claim solicitors asking you to claim back all your interest on your payday loans. These loan companies aren't like Lloyds Bank, etc, they have no resources and will fold like a pack of cards.

The UK can't afford to drop the EU and vice-versa. Any other(non)agreement would be negative for either side. Unless the negotiators are so stupid let's expect a fudge to please everybody and have at least no negative consequences on the financial markets

I appreciate that's your opinion Ham, but why would I listen to you, what's your expertise in exiting the EU?
