Any gain would go to the Pension Plan (They are the owners?).

That would help BT indirectly.

I don't know how this would work? If a bid in the New Year, BT retains a stake sell Hermes BT owned. I assume for a nice premium, which means dividend safe. Anyone got thoughts on this.

Problem is though monty 95% of IGs clients are long BT. Thats a terrible stale bull position according to your twisted logic.

This is my thoughts run up to Christmas with the Santa Rally and ex div 28th Dec, 285p then New Year January/February 305p to 310p trading range.

careful - not heard anything, though Court hearing was due this week, how long it lasts and how long it will take the judge to make a decision is anyone's guess. Did anyone see this - BT plans to close defined benefit pension to 11,000 managers. Further evidence that the BT Board is tackling the pension deficit.
