Are you still here metalsguru(?), or have you capitulated your position, coz I'm sensing the brokers have won the day and might now just be looking for a change in direction for we longs, probably just wishful thinking on my part but .... yeh, we'll see...............

One thing I would say is, I would not be 'short' here for million pounds!

There is news on the pension today, in case anyone is unaware.

The FT broke the story this afternoon. Unions urging members to
vote against the new proposals, if reports are accurate.

Some who post here work for BT so may have much clearer idea.
The headlines don't look good.

so market cap will reduce by about £8bn because of an additional pension fund deficit of £3bn spread over 30 years.

So babyal how would you know if bad news is coming about the pension , me personally from what I know, it will be positive reaction. Let me just say the pension situation will be distant memory for all investors. I will leave it at that and say no more!

Bad news coming regarding BT/openreach changes to pensions. Forecast of £1.61 by September 2018.

Just seen your post, yes when one bit of real positive news they will bounce big time. with all the shorts out there, but must admit I just can't see where good news coming from at the moment. They are in drift mode and shares don't drift higher. Trying to catch the bottom is tough.

Some snapshots of monty's forecasting tool.

16-Oct-15 When the price was about 460 and had been going up gently for some months, their forecast for end of Oct-17 was 498.21



26-Feb-16 Price was 485 but starting to flatten off (in fact having fallen from a high in late 15). Forecast for end Oct-17 was 570.84



13-Oct-16 Price at 368 and having fallen for most of the year, the Oct-17 foreast was 317.75



23-Dec-16 Price had fallen all year but had a temporary reprieve to 366, Oct-17 Forecast 289.25



So on that limited sample you can either conclude that they are pretty accurate a year out.

Or,

They are moderately accurate predicting what direction the share price has moved in the past.

Amazing how the rampers and de-rampers choose such extreme numbers in either direction these days to get attention.
It creates opportunities for us all.

Your right its like chinese water torture, drip, drip, down everyday, then bang big volume, capitulation not there yet it seems. Where is any positive news going to come from.
Look at Vod today good figures, good management.

Where's the 'historic data forecasting' on this website? It would be good if you could compare how accurate they have been or are they are just using recent share price movements to forecast future SP?

One thing for sure, we all know the share price is heading south......it does need a sudden and dramatic fall, with very heavy volume for capitulation.
