On a bad day for the UKX would think BT would do very well to stay above 2.47.

Well currently, we had a double bottom in the £2.47 range, so if that holds then its a sign of a reversal to the bullish side. Any dip below that price and its a lower low and a sign the bears are still in control.

Good support at 235 on the weekly. Daily chart is now creating a positive divergence. Looks like the selling is pretty much done. It's been bought up several times from below 48 so obvs there is value to someone there. If it can close above 253p then it looks a good spot to buy and then it could easily rip higher on a short squeeze.

Some of the TA guys appear to be looking for around 220, very approx.

Can't comment on that.

A £500k buy gets my attention, regardless of net worth that's meaty.

If the UKX is going lower then BT may well follow. All things being equal
risk/reward medium terms looks reasonable.

If anyone has a more attractive UKX stock idea at current market levels
then I am all ears to hear.

Main concern at these levels may be wider market weakness imv.

I seem to remember somewhere Justin Urquhart Stewart suggesting that one of the requirements for good stock market practice was to “NOT be too hard on the market”, clearly metal’s position has been deemed ‘too hard on the market!’.

212, lets get it over with then perhaps we can move on!

At least Labour don't want to renationalise BT.

BT had a large delegation at this year's Labour party conference, probably wise.

BT putting up their prices, what a shocker, absolutely disgusting. Of course none of their competitors would do something so despicable.

Just to clarify the Premier League sell's it's UK rights in 'packages' of which there were seven last time around. Sky got the majority, followed by BT and the BBC got the highlights package (MOTD). No one company can bid for all the packages. The Premier League has currently sold the International rights to various broadcasters around the globe, again no one broadcaster has exclusivity. Charles Clore - your point about Amazon not having broadband is hilarious - I have BT broadband through which I can access Amazon......

How would Amazon distribute football matches on the mobile network? They don't have broadband. BT does and a lot of it to boot! (get it?)
