Isn't it about time for Deutsche Bank to come out with their sell recommendation and 265p target again?? It's been nearly 2 weeks since the last! and what about Deutsche Telekom, do you think they've been selling now that they can? Apparently they can't increase their stake beyond 15% until 2019 or is the idea of BT being taken over a non-starter?

Just closed USD/JPY at 109.299 (for a profit, never a loss!) but still stuck in Cable.

Hmmm. Was hoping this would drop a bit before i returned. I got 7% twice recently off this (stopped out just before the dividend). Anyone think this may drop down to 2.80. Think i want to return soon

Jeeze, what's the deposit you've got with CMC? Must be close to a mill to avoid being closed out due to lack of margin when things move against you. And yes, CMC are the market makers and if they're exposed in the opposite direction, they can adjust the price, hope for a trade and then close you out.I'm sceptical (meaning neither believing nor disbelieving) any claims on bbs, simply because they are unverifiable. But I'd say unless anyone can take the maximum reasonably possible loss without too much grief then they're overexposed imv. Obviously if you have pots you can bet pots.I used to use CMC when they had tiny spreads and no commission and tiny deposit requirements which made trading easier, these days all those costs are up. I was tempted by their DMA offer, but tired of trading just at that time.

Yes indeed, but cannot help thinking the brokers will be working day and night against your position, after all these CFD & SB sites don't operate for our benefit!

Good on you, metalsguru, I hope it all works out and you reach your target in a reasonable time.

I presume your figures include the dividend credit, or have you got £52,000 to add into your account?

If it's not rude to ask, what spread firm are you with?

When BT finally does recover, and it will, no doubt I'll be on here reveling in just how clever(or lucky?) I've been so it's only fair that I post the ongoing positions when things are a bit sticky shall we say.

Thanks Monty, it's said you should cut your losses and let your profits run. I'm a bit too quick to take a profit the minute the screen goes green, look at Brent since I closed my position just yesterday at 4pm, I got around $51 and I just don't use stop losses period.

Just in Monty, and pleasantly surprised at today's outcome. You and dmf called it pretty well, and as it held up so well it gave me the confidence to take a £20/pt long in both the USD/JPY and USD/CHF when they fell badly mid-afternoon. Again pleasantly surprised to see such a turnaround in them when I looked just now. However I had set a 15 pip take profit order in both so only profited to the tune of £600 but it helps against those holding costs.

Entertainment purposes only. Who else would say that if sales are down 2% Quarter on Quarter they will be down 8% year on year. Comedy like that is hard to find.
