I see opportunity with cash flow positive for a Takeover very likely soon. Some say 160p plus even above 250. Interesting times ahead. Breaking up BT value over 400p.
Is any other story for price to up in FTSE SHARE apart from takeover story for BT VOD IBM etc?

With the gifts the Tories are making to Labour, enabling Starmer to hit back, any takeover approach would help him whip up further public scepticism about foreign-owned utilities (as a consequence of privatisation). There might not be a formal restriction on BT takeover, but a bidder would probably take the evolving situation into account - especially if Labour gain in polling.
I dont think there will be q flood of bids, or even a solitary one.The UK can intercede and prevent outside corporate takeover attempts if they have security / economic concerns.Whether they do or not is another matter but they can and thus do have teeth...Fed shook up US and thus world markets yesterday... BT was already in a negative trend so this adds fuel to that fire but rather than dump shares, I'm more inclined to hedge
The market is uncertain for numerous and significant reasons. With that as context, BT has nothing of interest to give investors right now, save for takeover speculation...I'm not surprised by the weakness although I expect medium term strength as earnings are reported... People will bend over backwards to keep their internet access on, despite general inflation pressure ... and this will compliment recent cost transformation activity across the group. But, Openreach have been off their fibre numbers and that may disappoint unless they have made up lost ground.I'm holding. But see better opportunity for my free cash at present. DYOR and good luck
I have no spare cash right now???...investing decisions gone bad?... I’d say yes. It’s been a tough year for BT. And I’d expect it to face further headwinds. While I have no spare cash right now, if I did I’d open a small position in the stock today. Its large infrastructure provides it with an edge. And its dividend yield and a potential takeover are also a draw.
Maybe they gave an unwritten agreement not to launch a takeover bid? Not sure how he would monetise his shares though?
Since TalkTalk was taken private 18 months ago in a £1.1 billion deal backed by Toscafund, the hedge fund and asset manager, market rumours have swirled that the company is exploring a potential sale, but nothing concrete has yet materialised. htTps://
Hopefully good news in no takeover of this critical British business
(Sharecast News) - Kwasi Kwarteng, the Business Secretary, may be set to stop billionaire Patrick Drahi from taking over BT through new national security laws and from building up his stake in telecommunications group. Government may also block Drahi from taking a seat on the board. The current ban under takeover rules on any attempt by the investor to launch a bid is set to expire over the coming week. The Government has until the beginning of July to decide whether it wishes to act or not. - The Financial Mail on Sunday
