BT in action:

Bought two-year FTTP upgrade on 4 Oct, installation engineer booked for 28 Oct 8am to 1pm. No one arrives; upon telephoning, told appointment rescheduled to 3 Nov.

No one turns up again; spend an hour on the phone to get through to BT customer service who can't get through to Open Reach.

This, now received:

"Open Reach have given us a review date of 18th November."

A major worry, but support from the workforce seems to be weakening.

They are spending like a drunken sailor to get wired up with fast fibre.
A net debt of £20bn is way ahead of the market cap.

If BT are allowed by the regulator to get a return on its investment we could do well.

If they are forced to give away the infrastructure to others I the name of competition, in reality a corrupt racket, then we will not do well.

Too much politics here, I well remember how Centrica was destroyed by small time cowboys offering cheap spot market gas. Most went bust.
The usual suspects had their snouts in the trough.

BT proving pretty useless where I am concerned: full fibre installation was supposed to happen 28 Oct; I rang on 27 anyway re. their billing muddle and was told along the way, appointment had been rolled forward to 8am to 1pm today, no one turns up either. Been on the phone to BT nearly an hour now, as they repeatedly fail to try to find out what is going on c/o Open Reach. No text/e-mails from BT as to why they twice decided not to come for work booked.

What a shambolic 'organisation'.
