This year they passed the 50% mark on FTTP roll out, by the time they finish the job the equipment will be out of date, it's like painting the forth rail bridge - a never ending job. It's just spend, spent, spend.

Various contractors have dug up the paving in just about every street in my area, the last time it happened it was Telewest, and we know what happened to them !

Why would anyone invest in telecoms? That gig was over years ago, there is no money in it and just a ton of regulation. Dividend will be cut then suspended again.

When profits fall they find a way to cost cutting...becoming a punch line...some of these cost cutting just drops out of the sky...

It seems to me the large shareholder Institions are quite happy to hold and lend their
shareholdings out to hedgefunds to short sell. They should be investing more at these levels as the break up value of BT is a lot higher.During a recession Telecom shares
should be bought for defensive qualities,as people always need to use the phone.
At these levels BT may well attract predatory foreign interest.

Split the company, like most other UK centric businesses successive Govts have wrecked them by insisting on tight regulations. Free markets do not exist any more, simple as that.

The couldn’t put too much froth on the figures.
Unions read them as well as shareholders.

At its current valuation it is quite pathetic, let a big US telecom just snack on it, EE contributes absolutely zero here.
