s34, as far as I can make out, Trendwatch forecast a 4.2% yield as the board are recommending an increase in the dividend for the year.

Revenue 2011 469.21M
Revenue 2012 514.57M

Divi 2011 12.00p
Divi 2012 12.50p

Hope this helps, just looking at this for the time being.

I was worried about oil prices & watched it on its' support at 230ish but held on.
IMO oil won't specifically hit BPI, but also all others in the industry, so extra costs should end up being passed on.

If this trend continues we're looking at quite a run imo,
but this share is a diesel, not a turbo,
& so is ideal for an ISA where you can take time instead of trading.

On such fundies the divi & P/E are ultra-safe.
Dunno what Shires are thinking of.......!
Catch-up with the small cap index (been lagging for 2 years) = to 400p.
I'll go back to sleep now....

Shires smaller co trust:

We completed the exit of British Polythene Industries during the month. We have been reducing our exposure for some time now and whilst this is a well managed company they struggle to pass through the rising raw material prices. Our preference in the sector has been RPC which we reduced on recent strength. They had a recent rights issue to acquire Superflo which was taken well by the market.

If so would be a very significant break. Has regained the ex dividend amount very quickly.

Solid update on BPI from Edison. Interesting when you read to look at the constant growth in both revenues and profits over last several years, and reminded me of how good the yield is at these prices - especially if the dividend gets back to near 14cps.

To be honest, although the PER has long been attractive, as results approached I was becoming more jittery because of oil prices.

I hope we'll see this go thru' 255 on the back of the results,
but it could be a long haul after that.

Good results - should certainly underpin the current share price Whether we advance much will depend on the mkts view of the impact of increasing raw material costs.

Strong results- inreased dividend, costs under control, input costs being passed on as quickly as possible, volumes up, production more closely aligned to supply, investment in recycling to reduce reliance on input costs - very happy to continue to hold.

No clarity on the current hike of input costs in particular oil. Just: Good start to the year although 2011 will not be easy and well placed to weather the storm.

IE started off well but its getting worse now but dont worry we wont be going bust.
