15/7/2005 22:56 | MARKET REPORT: Energy companies hit as winter gas price drops July 15, 2005 6:30am Europe Intelligence Wire A slump in winter energy prices had dramatic knock-on consequences in the equity market yesterday, as traders drew back from their earlier fear that the UK was heading for a shortage of gas at a time of peak demand at the end of the year. The fall in the price of gas for December delivery began earlier in the week but mushroomed yesterday, when the price fell by 27 per cent at one point. That meant electricity prices were also sent sharply lower, and companies such as British Energy and Scottish Power suffered. British Energy, the nuclear generator, was the worst-performing mid-cap, down 29.25p to 405.5p. Scottish Power dipped 3p to 496.75p, and its compatriot Scottish & Southern Energy was 11p lower at 966.5p. | bgyered

It seems that they didnt receive my voting form. Does anyone have any ideas how i can try to get help to discover what happened to the form. Is there a British Energy Investors forum ? So far I cant get reply from BE Investor relations. Anyone any ideas. It looks like I wont be able to rectify situation but any comments would be appreciated. | a harris

05/7/2005 08:14 | luckygit Bush included nuclear (or as he says nuculer) in his list of non fossil energy alternatives, when interviewed by Trevor Mac, last night. However, I thought it was a passing reference. What interests me is the sudden leap. Is it buggin's turn or does someone think there may be an imminent announcement (G8)? | stonec10
