03/2/2005 14:11 | It's not clear from the small print, to me anyway, but is it possible to exercise the warrants immediately and at any time in the next five years? CAN SOMEBODY / ANYBODY ANSWER THIS QUESTION AS IN ALL HONESTY I DON'T THINK ANYONE KNOWS OUT THERE (normally warrants are exercisable once a year) but this looks like another ruse; they hope the few SIDS who had the savvy to get certificated atall will allow them to expire? | mryesyes
31/1/2005 21:02 | Does that still apply to new, improved BGY? Or got waived for a while | call-logger
31/1/2005 20:40 | From the latest RNS it would seem Golden Sacks has clocked up an interest of 26%+ of BGY. 'Shome mishtake surely? Isn't there supposed to be an HMG imposed max allowed shareholding of 15% in BGY? | bgyered
31/1/2005 19:37 | Received mine too. It's not clear from the small print, to me anyway, but is it possible to exercise the warrants immediately and at any time in the next five years? | petet

25/1/2005 19:45 | Bit late now to be worrying about it. BGYered, perhaps you should forget what happened and think about how to make money going forward with the new BGY or else you will be BGYered again. | yuka
24/1/2005 23:31 | January 24, 2005 11:21am Utility Week British Energy's government-enforced fire-sale of Canadian nuclear power plant Bruce Power in 2002, as the generator slid near to collapse, has been slammed as 'idiocy'. Bruce has since reported rising profits with the promise of further improvements. Talking to Utility Week, a UK investment analyst said the government's insistence on a swift sale of British Energy' 82.4 per cent stake in Bruce has proven unsound following the Canadian plant's performance. The sale of one of British Energy's most attractive assets was a condition for short-term financial support. Bruce was sold for £304 million but reported a 2003 pre-tax profit of more than £120 million. 'The idiocy of this decision can be seen from Bruce Power's subsequent financial results,' said the analyst. It seems that [the government] forced a sale at probably less than a quarter of its real value.' | bgyered
24/1/2005 23:13 | I see that people who bought before the suspension have lost a lot of money, after the share consolodation here. | responsible lad
24/1/2005 15:09 | AS the weekend press hammered this stock quoting fair price of 200p this should start the slide again towards 200p. I fancy it will bottom out at 220p. | bpoole

21/1/2005 11:28 | BGY - I know all that (they used to be one of my clients). Hence my point. They make equipment but are not involved in power generation and distribution itself. Same for GE, ABB, etc. | yuka
21/1/2005 11:22 | Yuka - Siemens is Germany's biggest employer and active in 190 countries around the world. Its main customers are public institutions. Siemens' range of products includes turbines, the Trans-rapid magnetic levitation railway, hospitals and nuclear power plants, airports and Formula One race courses | bgyered

20/1/2005 20:33 | Siemens? Don't they just make the equipment? | yuka
20/1/2005 20:27 | Looks like Deutsche Bank are going to hit the Govt imposed maximum of 15% holding in British Energy - maybe they're building up stake for Seimens - a logical candidate to buy BGY if HMG allowed it to. Or might it just be BGY's favourite bank settling their accounts with the hedge funds after in return for their support to carry the shareholders' vote in December? It'll be interesting to see if there's any life left in the corpse once the vultures have had their fill. | bgyered
