A win will not solve much immediately. There then follows a whole host of appeals.

What happens if it loses the court case? Guess a win will reflect positively but how will a loss effect it? I'm getting tempted to buy soon but the drop seems relentlessly at present

Debt levels which were traditionally conservative have ballooned as BATS followed a well travelled route of expansion in USA.

It is downhill from here. BATS could go the same way as IMB.

kiwi2007,

And why do I care about PM when I own shares in BATS who came out with their own very good half year results on 31/7? Maybe transfer from PM to BATS products as BATS reported strong trading in the US.

...During the quarter under review, revenues from combustible products were down 19.1% to $5,045 million due to declines in all regions...Cigarette shipment volumes fell 17.6% to 151.4 billion units in the quarter,...Phillip Morris

Excuse the pun but this really is a dying market...worse than I thought... seems lots more people either stopping or going the illegal route.... I hold but not looking to top up at the moment.
