Nice RNS today. This must be a very big contract, as we know BRY don't RNS all their contract wins, and they describe this one as "significant" for "a top tier multi-asset global trading house".....

BRY has almost £10m net cash. Its ex-cash current year P/E is only around 15, For a fintech company, with high recurring income and growing exposure in new sectors, this is pretty cheap imho.

When looking at a stock one must always examine its current and forward positioning. BRY has spent a long time transforming itself internally and via acquisition.

I suspect we'll get quite a large new acquisition here before too long which will further transform the company.

Have been looking at this more. The current CEO took his position on 21 July 2007 shortly after the change of Chairman and when the share price was 61p. Robert Brady stepped down to CTO and then later NED. One might think the market would have really rewarded the new professional management replacing an academic founder, but actually here we are 8 years later with several acquisitions and lots of dilution and yet the share price is still only 98p, and even at that price it is on a price to sales ratio of 2.75, a more aggressive rating than several of its peers. The PE ratio is off the scale, but that may have specific reasons. Doesnt seem that cheap. What am I missing

Great spot G2. Good to see BRY growing in the power supply sector.

It sounds like this "forthcoming Nordic Balancing Settlement initiative" may bring BRY good business in the coming months.

BRY is becoming one of those holdings I feel more and more comfortable about, and thus happy to top up when suitable opportunities arise.

Cheers for that Gargoyle2.

Good to see the recurring income at above 50% - and the way GL completely avoided the question about possible imminent acquisitions! With BRY's Balance Sheet strength it's possible the next one could be a biggie, but there must surely be one in the pipeline given the time elapsed since the last one.

Good point, well made. I got a little confused by the amount exercised and the amount retained, and the amount issued to the market.

Perhaps the 490,020 trade was the net sum of Gavin / Peter / Robert's exercising.

Phosgene, I think the 490,020 trade at 96p was the sale of the directors' shares. That would be consistent with the RNS. It's unclear what the other trade was (527,700 at 96.192).

EDIT - interesting to see 1.02m shares going through today in two trades. Hopefully clearance of an overhang.

April's issue of Techinvest is now available free on their web site, so it's probably OK to paste their verdict on BRY's recent results:

"Brady (BRY; AIM) # 101.25p

Results for the year to December 31 showed revenues up 13% to £31.0m on a consistent currency basis. Recurring revenues were £15.9m, with deferred licence revenue of £1.7m. Over 30% of revenues now come from outside of Europe. EBITDA (before exceptional items) was up 80% to £6.3m, with operating margin returning to the plus 20% level. Cost savings of over £2.0m have been
achieved through rationing the solution set and management structure. Profit after tax was £2.9m before exceptional items and £0.5m net of a non-cash exceptional cost. Net cash at year end increased by £2.4m to £9.6m
(11.8p per share).

Operational highlights during the period include signing a record 20 new contracts, including the world's largest nickel producer and the largest trading company in Korea.

These contracts, combined with the existing recurring revenue base of 51% and significant service contracts from existing projects, give Brady good earnings visibility for 2015 and beyond. The geographical spread of revenues now comprises £21.1m in EMEA, £7.2m in the Americas and £2.7m in Asia. Momentum
in the Energy business was encouraging, signing six new contracts and four migrations. Cloud revenue more than doubled, with 30% of new licences delivered through Cloud.

Brady is now demonstrating that it can sign and deliver increasingly larger contracts with leading names in the commodity, energy and recycling sectors. Very strong hold."

Encouraging show of confidence from the Chairman, transferring 100,000 of his shares into his personal ISA:

With £10m in cash to play with I'm expecting new acquisitions soon since it's been over 2 years since the last one.

Good to see the share price continuing to make new highs. I love slow-burning stocks like this (though not so slow recently of course).
