11/1/2002 08:59 | offer up this am. May be another interesting day. Another new appt to the board. After going through recent news, this is all but a brand new company. | recruiter
11/1/2002 00:07 | Ken Reinsurance premiums have gone through the roof. Contrary to reports that it is hard to place business, I have heard that it isn't that difficult. Add on top of that there are a number of new reinsurance co's starting this year & that "THE" area of growth this year has been stated as Non Marine American business..then you have pretty good upside. | recruiter
10/1/2002 16:47 | Recruiter, I agree 100% but I was lucky as I got in early solely on the extremely unusual trading volmes - more in 2 days than in previous year- so can well understand my buddy will02p's reservations at this increased price. I normally operate a stop profit of 15% and I'm above that already. It is always difficult knowing when to sell but the reason I havn't sold in this case is the lack of profit takers (only 350,000 this afternoon and none yesterday) So I'm holding, at least until the 28th (Thanks for the info re the date). Be Lucky (and you will02p) Jim | justjim37
10/1/2002 16:29 | will02p p/t is possible but I don't think so. The Buys are not your average retail investor taking a punt. Would you punt 1m shares in this stock ? No nor would I. Yet today 2 x 1m BUYS & then look at the BIG trades yesterday. | recruiter
10/1/2002 16:01 | Thanks for the tip Jim.....little undecided about this one reckon your going to see P/T soon and the cheapest I could have bought was 5.25 when I knew. | will02p
10/1/2002 15:55 | Hi Recruiter, Hopefully some good news has leaked. Fingers and everything crossed. Still no profit taking, unusual on todays rise of 15% Jim | justjim37
10/1/2002 15:30 | Hi Jim. I believe 28th Jan. | recruiter
10/1/2002 15:10 | Recruiter, I'm in and interested but it would be nice to know why the exceptional volume of trades yesterday and today. Clearly not day traders as there is very little profit taking (yet). When are the results due?? be lucky Jim | justjim37
10/1/2002 14:15 | can't believe no-one on here is interested....hey ho, profit for me. | recruiter
10/1/2002 11:52 | another 1m BUY just gone through. | recruiter
10/1/2002 10:03 | The rise is probably due to the expectation of a good set of results. The full benefits of the re-organisation should show in the year end figures on the 28th. Medium term, re-insurance premiums on the up will feed through to the bottom line. | ken50
10/1/2002 09:43 | some buys are being delayed. I should know mine hasn't shown up yet. When you see a 100K trade at 5.1875, it's not a sell, it's my buy. | recruiter
10/1/2002 09:36 | A juicy 1,000,000 buy just gone through. Something is up, hope its my portfolio :-) | justjim37
10/1/2002 09:30 | I've just been going through the trades. I have to agree Freddy, something is going on... | recruiter
10/1/2002 09:24 | for what it's worth to all of you. There isn't any news about in the Insurance Journals regarding BDK & there hasn't been for sometime. I know it's not much help, but the trade mags usually have news first prior to any other breaking news. | recruiter
09/1/2002 20:15 | My guess is that it was a stock overhang which was cleared at a discount allowing the mms to ramp the price for the few they held on to, after selling on the bulk to an informed buyer..all imho natch! | ydderf
09/1/2002 17:57 | Cantab, I aree that the 4,750,000 trade does look like a sell but it was a T trade and the price ticked up by 11% immediately after the transaction was reported. In my humble view it was a buy at a discount. Fingers crossed. | justjim37
09/1/2002 17:29 | I have just bought 50000 at 5p and beiieve that only one MM is offering at 5p . surely something is up?? Figures are out soon. regards Mike | chessman2
09/1/2002 17:12 | I don't mean to be a killjoy, but aren't most of the trades sells? I've been in Bradstock for over a year now so I'm as keen as the next man for a positive move, but I don't exactly get a warm fuzzy feeling from seeing so many shares being sold! | cantab
09/1/2002 16:45 | very large volume, obviously something is going on/about to go on - and don't be shaken out by the dastardly market makers if there is no news by tea-time tomorrow my muppety friends........... | ydderf
09/1/2002 16:40 | no idea but that buy of 22,000 is mine, just jumping on what looks like a bandwagon. | justjim37
09/1/2002 13:13 | Large volume and share price going up. Does anybody know the reason for the increase? | ben value
22/8/2001 20:33 | Anyone got any info on these. They have large cash surplus according to Shares magazine however price seems very low at 2.3 P/E. | pguilliotti
21/6/2001 00:23 | Yesterday (19th june) we saw 1000% above normal volume which amounted to 7million shares traded with a 10% increase in price. Again today the price is moving up. They announced that profits were up on reduced turnover....a nice feat if you can manage it, they also said that there could be an offer for the company ....merits a look I think! | bluewain
20/6/2001 14:44 | Monument Deridatives just bought 1million @ 10.25p See RNS. Something about to happen? how come we now have two current threads for BDK? Jim | justjim37 |
