20/7/2017 17:57 | It's not a worry for me Opodio, big, small or otherwise. A consideration of BST's operating loss and cash position will help explain why. 28/06/2017 07:01 UKREG Big Sofa Technologies Group PLC Final Results " ...Operating expenses include GBP785,000 of AIM listing costs and GBP705,000 of deemed reverse acquisition costs, both of which are non-recurring. ... The balance sheet at the end of 2016 remained strong with cash of GBP2.5 million ... Operating loss (4,297) ..." I.e. the 2016 operating loss excluding non-recurring costs was £2.8M., only slightly higher than the year end cash position. The speed with which revenues are growing means that there may well not be an urgent need to raise more equity funds before the company is at or near profitability, especially as it could prefer debt if necessary. And there are major short-term share price surge catalysts expected: 1. Two more major deals like Ipsos and P&G expected to be announced over the summer. 2. Interim results in September. 3. BST expected to be breaking even by the Autumn. We're already in the second half of July, and it will be nearly Autumn before we know it. The closer that gets, I would expect anticipation and excitement to keep building. BST could of course choose to do undertake a placing, e.g. if it dual-lists in America as is the claimed intention. But if it does, the sort of explosive growth being achieved should mean that funds should be available at a very healthy share price. | hedgehog 100
20/7/2017 17:44 | Brief dips like this are a godsend for patient long-term investors accumulating a stake on the cheap. A reminder of what could be possible here, long-term: “Visual Analytics Firm Qlik to be Acquired for $3bn June 6 2016 Visual analytics company Qlik is to be acquired by equity investment firm Thoma Bravo, in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $3.0 billion. Lars BjörkHeadquarte Under the terms of the acquisition agreement, Qlik shareholders will receive $30.50 in cash for each share of Qlik common stock, a 40% premium over the stock's last closing price. The proposed transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2016, subject to approval by Qlik's shareholders and regulatory authorities and the satisfaction of customary closing conditions. CEO Lars Björk (pictured) comments: 'Thoma Bravo recognizes the value that Qlik delivers - a platform that lets our customers see the whole story that lives within their data. Thoma Bravo has an excellent track record of investing in outstanding technology businesses for the long-term, and I am confident our employees, customers and partners will greatly benefit from our partnership with them'. 20/7/2017 16:03 | Perhaps some shareholders have noticed that the BST subsidiary borrowed £675k from a fund with a BST director on its board that has just been outed by an authorative Financial Commission as having inadequate anti-money laundering policies and procedures in place at the time. Perhaps they don't fancy the risk of a follow on investigation. Who could blame them, particularly as there is such an obvious ramping campaign going on. | gheebee

18/7/2017 18:16 | Thanks for the clarification SI. According to your post 1037 yesterday, your buyer had bought a grand total of 975,000 BST shares, about 1.7% of the company. Quite a show of confidence. People sell shares for a variety reasons, but generally only buy a share because they believe that it's a good investment. As such, buying is generally more meaningful than selling. | hedgehog 100

18/7/2017 08:24 | Hi Hedgehog The 300,000 trades are only two trades. There has been a computer glitch of late on last trades of the day showing twice. In your example it is the 10.50am trade showing twice. When you remove one of those trades, it means the 300,000 is a rollover. | smart_investor

17/7/2017 19:11 | Ken Do not take the buy and sell indicators on the trades list as gospel. For example today you were able to purchase stock at under mid price. So when that buy is placed and added to the trades list it appears as a sell only because the transaction price was under mid price of the advertised spread. Therefore the buy appears as a sell on the trades list. | smart_investor |
