29/5/2007 13:53 | I do not like the direction the share price has taken. After several months it is still below the IPO price. Aware of the risks of investing in the AIM market, particularly in the field of insurance underwriting, I have decided to sell my almost insignificant holding at a modest profit. | what is a login ?

09/5/2007 14:18 | An invisible hand seems to be holding the handlebars steady at 150p. Results conming up on 6th June. | what is a login ?
02/3/2007 13:42 | Cheers jonwig. Have no money to invest at present (unless I sell something). Glad see BPM held steady during this week's global tree shake. | what is a login ?
27/2/2007 11:56 | what is a login ? ... hello. "Investors Champion" has some interesting stuff and, I'm told, is reputable. They promoted new issue Vertu Motors, which I wish I'd taken up, and if you register you can get access to some IPOs, and their analysis. | jonwig
27/2/2007 10:04 | A very interesting post, jonwig. "Annual management costs of c£2m for an investment portfolio of c£35m are quite staggering and the high fees being generated from investments are simply being mopped up by the operating costs with little available for distribution to shareholders." I'm not sure if these costs are excessive. £2m on £35m is roughly six per cent. I have often been "staggered" by similar fees charged by fund managers of Unit Trusts picking lousy stocks. So much so that I now pick stocks my self and with know-next-to-nothing skill consistently outperform the experts. If Marsh picks good companies to deal with at propitious moments I think the rewards for management are well deserved. I think he knows what he is doing. I have no complaints. I was in at 136p. share price now at 150p. Possibly set to lurch up from IPO price IMO barring megacats etc. However point taken. I would like to have a few crumbs thrown at me by the directors in the form of a dividend at some stage. BTW I will check out OPT which is beneath the BPM article on the link you posted. Looks like an interesting company. | what is a login ?

04/12/2006 12:11 | I like the website too. It's succinct and well focussed. It tells you clearly what the company is about. The retro look photos, apart from being self confident and funny, all bear a message. e.g. we are far-sighted ... , we occupy a place in the city .... | what is a login ?
03/12/2006 20:15 | And such a nice website. So many investment and finance companies appear to regard dull presentation as some sort of indicator of seriousness and dependability. Good to see someone using a degree of imagination and artistry whilst also communicating the essential information succinctly. Deserves an award. mtg | m.t.glass

27/4/2006 21:48 | Venture capital company B.P. Marsh was floated recently and has a number of high quality investments in the financial services and insurance sectors. It has not gained very much attention since its flotation yet the quality of its portfolio of investee companies seems high and its market cap is not excessive given the potential for capital growth. Certainly looks like a good long term opportunity and I have bought in on this basis. I would welcome others' views. | jlabrey |
