I think Israel may target Iran soon for supporting Hamas. That could add $10 to the oil price or more.

With the geopolitical tensions, I suspect valuation calculations may be meaningless unless the Russian state agrees to buy it back or in the worst case seize the stake for nothing . Interesting scenario in the latter case. Can BP stop that if it became a risk ?

Something to ponder. Wonder if BP would ever sell there 19.5 % in Rosneft. What would it be worth. It would pay there debt down some what. Just a thought.

Op pub was full out side so only had one drink and then went to Telford spoons had fish and chips and Guinness Then back home at 2.50 to buy a 5321 nwg they will soon be back above 200 I and I will sell

They’ve already reduced a huge chunk of debt ahead of schedule.
Forecasts for the year ahead were based on crude at 50 and it has largely been over 60, currently 64 so 20 to 30% higher means increased profit.
Baltic dry index is still over 3100, levels not seen for 11 years which shows what’s to come from the recovery ahead. Very comfortable holding and adding on dips
