08/4/2021 17:15 | What's the chances of the divi returning to previous levels or somewhere in between ? Based on 5.25c it's 15.1p per year and just over 5%. BP always seems to pay around 6% at 500p. I hear share buy backs could be on the cards | rogerramjett

07/4/2021 11:46 | oho "Yes, I agree with your chart but the lines you added were so obvious, I didn't want to add them to mine and risk patronising my extremely discerning clientele." ==================== I could reply that "discerning clientele" are unlikely to be invested in BP but I will refrain from doing so. I will simply say that what is obvious to some completely eludes others. I wish you well with your Lucky Jim gap and fully concur its filling before the decade is out. | bracke
07/4/2021 10:33 | By should now push on for 350 | portside1
07/4/2021 10:26 | Johnwise why do you not post the real facts hear are a couple Germany use natural gas to heat homes Over half of new built homes in Germany have gas boilers fitted today Now they are going to use even more gas in the trillions of units from the new gas line from Russia Now the U.K. gov scientists want to stop us having gas cookers Gas fires And ban the use of them plus stop us from burning wood or coal The Paris climate agreement is broken and ignored by all Eu countries which is fact . | portside1
07/4/2021 10:12 | Good day bracke Yes, I agree with your chart but the lines you added were so obvious, I didn't want to add them to mine and risk patronising my extremely discerning clientele. My avarice knows no bounds. I am leaving the corpse as a salutory lesson to any other wanabee shorters. The lucky Jim gap will be filled before this decade is over, to be sure, to be sure. Edit: Not totally convinced the corpse is dead. Last seen building a bridge across the Irish sea. | ohojim
07/4/2021 10:05 | Good day oho Nice chart but it's poor taste to leave that corpse lying there or is it a memorial to a fallen gapper?. I have added a channel to the chart. On this leg up can it get its leg over the first likely resistance or maybe get away with a retrace before another run at it. In the past 320 has proved to be a strong s/r zone so your dreams of avarice may have to be tempered a little. | bracke
07/4/2021 10:03 | Price just keeps sliding back. MM's walking it down slowly. So frustrating... | crazi
07/4/2021 09:38 | Added a few more looking for well over 350 by June | portside1
07/4/2021 09:11 | So assuming they haven't made a mess of their calculations, it looks like they will be announcing the buyback program on Tuesday 27 April with the results. They also must have gone past their debt target by enough to give them some wiggle room for errors (it would look terrible if they suddenly said they hadn't hit the debt target). Seems like their trading arm hedged very well unlike RDSB which seems to have not benefited from the rising oil price (they mentioned a 6 month lag) I want them to buy back shares at these prices rather than buying at 400p later in the year. "statements regarding the triggering of the commitment to return at least 60% of surplus cash flow to shareholders by way of share buybacks subject to maintaining a strong investment grade credit rating" Since the profits have increased and debt reduced, the credit rating must be safer now than 6 months ago. This could be a pretty hefty buy back (or return to investors in some other way, perhaps a special divi). Working out the projected surplus cash flow would give an indication of how big this might be. | planit2
07/4/2021 08:37 | All the news coming out is very good for holders and a increase in div and buy backs to resume | portside1 |
