https://www.equities.com/news/international-game-technology-igt-moves-higher-on-volume-spike-for-may-15International Game Technology (IGT) traded on unusually high volume on May. 15, as the stock gained 2.59% to close at $30.12. On the day, International Game Technology saw 2.6 million shares trade hands on 16,619 trades. Considering that the stock averages only a daily volume of 1.13 million shares a day over the last month, this represents a pretty significant bump in volume over the norm.Generally speaking, when a stock experiences a sudden spike in trading volume, it may be seen as a bullish signal for investors. An increase in volume means more market awareness for the company, potentially setting up a more meaningful move in stock price. The added volume also provides a level of support and stability for price advances. The stock has traded between $30.82 and $17.25 over the last 52-weeks, its 50-day SMA is now $27.70, and its 200-day SMA $25.26. Clearly something is coming, slightly annoying that it's leaked but hey ho it may attract new investors to ride the wave upwards

smcl,

This is going nowhere without some positive news. The interim report and the company update both contained positive comments, especially those relating to very large transactions, but the market remains sceptical. The company has a record of telling investors very little, possibly because they haven't had much of a positive nature to say recently. Most investors would expect them to put out an announcement if they complete any large transactions, as this would be very positive news basd on their comments in the interim report. The absence of news is going to be taken as the absence of progress (whether true or not), so nothing is going to happen until progress is indicated.

Ianb5004,

Thanks for sharing that. Presumably when their receivables goes down we will see a similar fall in trade payables which also looks too high. This would go a very long way to reassure investors.

Results often come during the day from BOX. Too much to expect to get them at 7:00AM like most other companies. I'm still hoping we get something which most investors would describe as a decent set of results, especially after the AGM Statement. For me the most important part will be what they say about H2, given that we have already had 3 months trading, and also what information they give to enable us to see what impact the very large transfers might have. It would also be good if they stated an intention to address their appalling investor communications, and I don't just mean their inability to answer emails.

This company desperately needs someone on investor relations, appalling communications

I hope you are right with your thoughts, however Box did say some time ago that they were seeking to improve investor communication and keep us up to speed. What happened to the PR company that was supposed to be doing this, seems to have gone by the wayside.Still have faith in Box but they should not make promises that they dont keep,or have I got that wrong?

I wonder what investors were expecting to give a negative reaction. Profits were as expected, and the 2nd half is always the stronger half. The PE looks to be around 5 at worst so they look undervalued. They seem to have plenty of cash for the size of business so no problems there. The statement wasn't particularly exciting so this may have disappointed a few. Odd reaction......

A258... WELL DONE.

My take is they have been concentrating in getting the payment processing business right. All the pieces are pretty much in place now and it should deliver bigger and bigger profits. Its low overheads and high margins. They just need to keep building customers and it can be a major cash cow.

Asino cash has been on the back burner but isnt forgotton, the acquisition of emex also bought box teh software to support casino cash.. See update from agmm form my good friend Paulie who attended. Casino cash wil also be a majr cash cow when running, market is huge...

11 Aug '16I attended the AGM this morning. Here is a summary of what was discussed. Slightly disappointing that there were only four PI's there including me and Smudgedan. Then again, saying that, I don't think they could have accommodated anyone else! Phil Jackson gave up his chair at the table so we could sit; that was very nice of him I thought.

SUMMARY
CASINO CASH
Casino Cash is very much alive and having completed a successful pilot in various casinos around London (including Hippodrome) is undergoing further development prior to being offered to clients. PJ stated that they had significant interest from various different casinos already for the product. He also stated that the product is unique and its use is not restricted to just casinos but other establishment’s like, Gentlemen’s clubs Etc (Spearmint Rhino was mentioned as an example) I made the point that, the last Casino cash update was Dec 2015 and without regular updates, investors start thinking there is something wrong and suggested that maybe they should keep investors updated as to the progress in forthcoming trading updates; It appeared as this was agreed upon, we’ll see.

CEO APPOINTMENT
The board stated that discussions had taken place but wouldn’t disclose any more information on a likely candidate. They did indicate however that the CEO selection process was reliant on today’s vote of approval for the company’s executive Share Option Scheme. Of course the board have to be extra careful in what we were told at the AGM and we were mindful about asking any questions requiring price sensitive answers; there was no mention of option exercise price.
In relation to PJ stepping down; I think we all know that one of the reasons was because PJ had to be distanced due to his previous business dealings/associations; that’s no secret, and PJ himself also stated today that this was one of the reasons; however, the main reason was that he is a salesman and that is what he does best. In order for the company to grow, it requires a decent board structure. Lord Razzall said they were aiming for an American style board structure.

I would say new CEO already earmarked, and trading update very soon. Them saying discussions had taken place and waiting for the voting on options says something. Of course the new CEO would want to know that there are share incentives before they accept the position.
