Perenco has exported its first barrel of oil from its recently acquired Chadian assets via the Chad-Cameroon pipeline.https://www.energyvoice.com/oilandgas/africa/ep-africa/430699/chad-perenco-first-glencore/Perenco has been operating in Central Africa since 1992, a region where our know-how in operating oil and gas fields and developing infrastructure is highly applicable. https://www.rigzone.com/news/perenco_buys_glencore_oil_interests_in_chad-04-jul-2022-169375-article/

Difficult to tell but give price has not gone up on buying am assuming sales. 1.6mn cleared and someone would have bought so assume this is on stronger footing now.

How can you tell if trades are buys or sells and does it make any sense to view them as one or another? If it takes two to tango, then somebody must be buying if somebody is selling? Or do you have some way of telling if there is buying from, or selling to, a market maker, who is then offloading or holding inventory - as opposed to acting as a middleman between two investors?

Let's hope the 900k sale clears the selling pressure.

Totally agree but this is typical until you get concrete news. Let's see what is announced over next couple of months. If positive, this will get a serious leg up.

Still 700,000 shares traded today is GBP 20,000, which is pretty small even for a GBP 10 million market cap.

I think true value is between 30-50p a share but it is a binary bet. Given Perenco odds of this coming good have risen significantly so if we get further news around their involvement this should be 10p or more hopefully then heading to true value.

Bowleven's share of Etinde currently equates to 61 mmboe. By way of comparison, Tullow's 2P resources in total are estimated at 4x that level. Tullow has an enterprise value of 2.8 billion usd. It is not inconceivable for Bowleven to be worth 1/4 of that once the assets are producing. That asset is currently valued at just 1/100 of that.Perenco currently produce 100k barrels per day, roughly twice as much as Tullow, so it is a mid size operator. Surely Bowleven is worth 100m to Perenco? That is c. 25 per share

The Etinde-Episeyo estimate of distance in the linked piece coincides with the estimate in the first para of 19317.

As part of the licence a proportion of production was to be allocated for Cameroon government purposes with the figure originally appearing as 500bn cu ft to be used by the a then proposed fertiliser plant and now SNH seemingly express that requirement as 70 mmcfd to be set aside to fuel proposed power 150MW and 350MW plants at Limbe and Bekoko.

However, given the ramshackle, dilapidated and highly unreliable state of the Cameroon power transmission system, proposing to add a further 500MW of gas fuelled generation plus a planned 402 MW of hydro, seems beyond rationality.

But there again, just look at the nonsense that is UK energy policy and Cameroon is not alone.

Can you explain the distance comment, and estimates of capacity after the power generation? Is the power generation anyway based on future projects yet to be developed?

Confirmation of distance estimate and, given that, along with the amount of gas left after 70 mmcfd to be set aside for power generation, Episeyo does seem an unlikely destination.

Perhaps Perenco, being the major Cameroon O&G player, want to be a part of the Vitol Gas Hub project but, in that case, it does seem to be a very curious point for New Age to be relinquishing. However, they appear to have been without a CEO for quite some months now, so there may be a shift in corporate priorities being required by Kerogen and Hopu their major principals.
