A rayfenn health warning - until removed from there, under RF68, he had been all over the LSE VOG board hyping that share.

Shows positive development, finance will be key here so hopefully they are making good progress on that front.

The new cement plant will take gas from Gaz Du Cameroun a subsiduary of VOG. It would only use 0.5 mmscf/d of gas

Some interesting pieces seen over on LSE: Https://www.investiraucameroun.com/energie/0909-16826-le-consortium-sino-ghaneen-sunon-asogli/china-energy-e-en-pole-position-pour-construire-la-centrale-a-gaz-de-limbe Https://www.investiraucameroun.com/economie/0709-16817-les-coreens-daewoo-et-korea-midland-power-company-s-interessent-au-gaz-camerounais Https://www.investiraucameroun.com/mines/3108-16780-une-cimenterie-chinoise-en-gestation-dans-la-zone-portuaire-de-douala With regard to the latter piece, if accurate and depending on its size, a cement plant is a very intensive energy user so could possibly be a destination for more Etinde gas

With all the different metrics being used, tons, cu ft, cu meters etc, herewith a couple of useful sites for converting, with the Iowa State one being particularly comprehensive and helpful: Https://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.php?id=45&t=8 Https://www.extension.iastate.edu/agdm/wholefarm/html/c6-89.html

Courtesy of Happy Sparrow on LSE:Aksa25 Jul 2021 09:35https://www.investiraucameroun.com/energie/2407-16684-electricite-les-industries-demandent-a-eneo-340-mw-d-energie-supplementaireMy french is not good but I think this may help:'de la centrale à gaz de Bekoko du projet d'urgence solaire de 30 MWc en cours de déploiement dans le RIN et de deux projets de centrales solaires en IPP avec de fortes perspectives de closing financier début 2022 », liste l'électricien.'There should be a comma after Bekoko?'du projet d'urgence solaire de 30 MWc en cours de déploiement dans le RIN'. I think this refers to this project: https://www.businessincameroon.com/energy/2107-11788-italian-firm-enerray-obtains-investment-incentives-for-its-30mw-solar-plant-project-in-garoua.The RIN refers to the northern Reseau Interconnecte Nord (RIN) transmission systems in Cameroon. There should be a comma after IPP?'avec de fortes perspectives de closing financier début 2022' should be read as one phrase. Thus my, perhaps optimistic, reading of the article is:The Bekoko gas plant has strong prospects of being financed by the beginning of 2022, to be brought online sometime 2023.[This would tie in with the Etinde project reaching FID in Q1 2022].All looking good!

Thanks, always good to get your thoughts, been a while here and was questioning whether I should have got out when special dividend was paid. If there is a reserves increase and we look good for FID this should be way up on where we are now. Fingers crossed.

"This still come good?" Yup, I believe so gark especially as there do appear to be gas destination solutions and after looking at what was said in the Interims regarding the seismic reprocessing it would be most surprising if later this year we didn't see a re-rate of the asset back to close to or even at 300m boe. "Timing Q1 2022?" - no chance! Were Ladbrokes to be offering even 20/1, I still wouldn't stick a quid on it. NA have form here - if you go back to the 2019 AR, penultimate para of Operating Review on p13, NA were then predicting FID in Q1 2020. Our Eli is saying only 2022 in the Interims, and if you go the last para of the FEED section part of the Operations Review on p5 some of the hurdles to be overcome are set out there and with lawyering and documenting involved no chance of all that being done in nine months especially with the central involvement of SNH and the government. Perhaps, FID sometime in 2022 but as progress towards it is made, reasonable to expect some stake building and step jumps in the share price

From the BLVN point of view, aren't the central points that Golar wants to see Episeyo's 4 train capacity used rather than just the two currently shipping, and that the Golar/Perenco contract terminates in 2026 which just happens to coincide with the NA envisaged start of Etinde Phase 2. Where the Episeyo is currently moored is c 130km from Etinde and after the amount having to be reserved for domestic generation (what domestic generation being a perfectly fair question!) it is extremely doubtful that there is sufficient gas left available to make constructing a pipeline of that length viable. On the other hand, at the end of the contract with Perenco in 2026, should Episeyo be moved northwards by Golar to a point to be able service both the Perenco acreage and Etinde, then the BLVN JVP will almost certainly have a a viable and probably preferable alternative to Marathon's Punta Europa and Golar will see rather more of the Episeyo's capacity brought into use. That would certainly be less "politically challenging" to quote Our Eli, and avoid the necessity of an inter governmental agreement between EG and Cameroon necessitating a negotiation unlikely to take less than 12 months.

Perenco has a website here hxxps://www.perenco.com/ They are active in 14 countries including Cameroon and claim to be Europe's leading independent oil company. The fact that SNH is happy for them to export at least some of the LNG must surely be seen as a positive for the potential economics of Etinde.

The development plan talks about first phase condensate production with reinjection of the gas followed by a second phase where LNG is exported or sold into the domestic market. I think condensate production will be easier and of more value in the first instance.

the actual problem is that cameroon wants to save a certain amount of gas for the domestic market while the jv partners would profit more if it could be exported from the second link... Golar previously said it held talks with Perenco and SNH to increase output to full capacity utilizing all the trains. But this will probably not take place any time soon due to the depressed market caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

major producers realise a net profit of between $0.05 and $0.25per litre fuel (gasoline/diesel), depending on the region/country/taxes etc. that should generate a beautiful dividend every year in case blvn joins the jv partners to production. that for sure is interesting to know re a potential take over. blvn for sure do not have to sell their stake too cheap.

Probably an IRR ( internal rate of return ) of 15 - 20% for a West African energy project I would say, maybe we should ask them to confirm?

I am pretty sure spread bet firms would ask for 100% margin on Bowleven. But if people hold it in the same account as other stocks that are on say 20% margin, 5 times leverage, then a margin call on the other stuff might force them to sell some Bowleven?

what amazes me is that we are talking about investment costs of appx USD 1.4billion and our actual market cap with our stake of 25% in this project is roughly GBP 13million. You are right gark, anyone can move the price here in any direction at the moment.

Was flagged as Q1 2022 earlier in the year and this article provides some confidence that it will move forward. This share is totally illiquid so if you want to sell any it moves dramatically. Will be dead until we get FID so hopefully this will recover once we do.
