30/1/2021 09:31 | If there's a sale then I expect 30± but difficult to judge | letmepass
30/1/2021 07:59 | "to me there is only one logical explanation and that is a full company sale, rather than taking this into production. plus these are hedge fund guys that don't really want to run an oil co forever and day, extracting maximum amount of value in a reasonable time frame is more their style" See post 18995 | warbaby43
29/1/2021 16:47 | Long term holder. Something is breaking. Added 20% today. | oilbethere
29/1/2021 16:24 | Today 15:54 from LSE posterdont forget it wasnt too long ago the BOD decided to dish out a 15p dividend when they were acutely aware of how much extra cash they would need to go into production.......to me there is only one logical explanation and that is a full company sale, rather than taking this into production.plus these are hedge fund guys that don't really want to run an oil co forever and day, extracting maximum amount of value in a reasonable time frame is more their stylealso those CEO share options don't trigger unless the share price is above 45p so its gotta be near there or why set it so high? the main question I have is that 45p inclusive of the 15p divi, so a sale at 30p or does the sale need to be at 45p......hopefully the latter!sale just after FID anyone........? | bmwman3
29/1/2021 15:46 | Close to FID now so a few variables but I think we are getting closer. At the moment it is up to the individual to assess the probability. I have held for a very long time so I think we will get there but it has certainly tested my patience. | gark
29/1/2021 14:56 | The re rate begins | bmwman3
29/1/2021 14:51 | there is no outlook yet, hence the crippled share price | buy_more
29/1/2021 12:30 | Thanks Gark. What's the outlook for commercialization of Etinde after so many years of inactivity? | dealy
29/1/2021 12:20 | Company has their share of Etinde valued at $150mn I think so depends what value you place on Etinde. At the moment arguably reflects cash and expected cash. | gark
29/1/2021 11:55 | How long is a piece of string | shirley83
29/1/2021 11:48 | 25m market cap. what is fair value? | dealy
29/1/2021 11:35 | There must be more to this rise than just the Etinde authorisation to exploitation agreement.. | haywards26
29/1/2021 09:25 | What is going on here?! I was not expecting this share price movement so soon :) | haywards26
29/1/2021 09:04 | nice! volume and share price up :) | buy_more
28/1/2021 18:31 | hxxp://www.karpowers Again, thanks to Happy Sparrow | nufckk
28/1/2021 17:02 | A copy of Happysparrows post on Vog LSE board today. Taken from Vog quarterly update and Business Cameroon Note from today's RNS: The company is also in discussions with new customers in the Douala area for further thermal and power projects representing significant energy demand requirements. Karpowership are talkng of supplying 300MW From the article: The arrival of this independent producer in Cameroon will not only allow the country to experiment with a new technology in terms of electricity production, but also to boost its installed capacities (around 1650 MW), and thus move towards target of 5,000 MW in 2030, as foreseen in the national development strategy 20-30 (SND 20-30) drawn up by the government. So, to get an idea how big this is, 300 / 1650 = 18% of Cameroons entire 'installed capacity'. In comparison, the Aksa power station is only intended to add 150MW capacity. And it is right in the heart of Douala where we have a gas supply monopoly. And we will be billing an international Turkish company (like Aksa), and not reliant on payment by Eneo. And it can be set up in 90 days - no power station needs to be built. 8) Powership is a fast track solution that delivers electricity in 90 days. It is also high efficient using the most economical fuel available in the market and with a higher efficiency compared to similar solutions that lead to an economical generation cost.... | nufckk
28/1/2021 16:40 | Maybe they are not allowed to at this time.... here's hoping | kbrook
28/1/2021 16:34 | exactly warbaby, i just wanted to type exactly the same. the whole bloody management should buy shares and i guess they are waiting for the perfect timing. we will see. | buy_more
28/1/2021 16:19 | Blimey, two positive RNSs in three days with the second, despite the triggering transaction(s) being for a trifling 500k shares, being of rather more consequence than the licence announcement. Should HSBC continue to add, that will certainly provide a boost but what would really ignite the share price would be the arrival of another 3 percenter+ and/or, better still, a hefty management share purchase. Given his mega salary and receipt of a £170k dividend, not as if Chahin couldn't afford it. | warbaby43
28/1/2021 11:18 | fact is, there is still zero volume since months which tells me, the ii's and basically no one is selling at these levels. rather the opposite. which of course means, they all expect a much higher price then we are right now. volume will probably kick in if we breach appx. 6.20p by tomorrow. After that 9p is already within reach and the next step to take. all only imo of course. | buy_more
28/1/2021 10:23 | As principal in this context is as opposed to as agent, I think. So they are holding the stock on their balance sheet, not just acting as a "matchmaker". But for what purpose I am not clear - are they making a market in it or something else? | ham74
28/1/2021 09:54 | On the company website it says HSBC James Capel as principal, if that is any help. Perhaps someone with more knowledge of this type of thing could cast some light on it | nufckk
28/1/2021 09:46 | Any idea which part of hsbc it is? Is it an asset manager or a brokerage such as a market maker? | ham74
28/1/2021 09:27 | I notice there was a TR1 for HSBC buying a few more shares late last night. Pushed them back over the 9% mark | nufckk
27/1/2021 15:22 | thanks rossannan. so, nigels calculation is very similar to mine (see post 18880). i am still convinced if there is a take over bid this year the share price will be higher than his 26p. but in any case everything above 26p will make me and a lot of people here very happy i guess. good luck all. | buy_more |
