https://allafrica.com/stories/201910290598.htmlAnother interesting story on Lukoil in Cameroon and recent agreements. With all this investment I get the feeling that they may soon be the drivers of Etinde.

Where did you get the information that results were due on the 7th? I thought it was first half of November.

Yes - should be able to do accounts on the back of a beer mat ;-)

That's the only reason they would delay. Accounts not exactly difficult. So much activity around Lukoil and Cameroon one has to think this has got legs.

Seems the results have been delayed. Previously down as the 7th - tomorrow. Now first half November so presumably not tomorrow but next week sometime. Could this be because of an announcement? Going to be interesting.

Given Lukoil seem very focused on proceeding I think this is more down to New Age and all the changes there. However, agree those results should have been released by now. That is the issue in not being the operator and the fact they are private I assume.

Surely results of drills from twelve months ago have been known for a very long time and surely withholding this potentially price sensitive information from the market goes against financial protocol in even the aim market.

RNS of 3rd May 2018:

"Further to the announcement of 14 December 2017, the Board has decided to delay a decision to appoint a new external Non-Executive Chairman until there is more clarity on the likely outcome of the results of the two well appraisal drilling campaign on the Etinde field, expected to commence in Q2 2018.

In the interim period, Bowleven is pleased to announce that Matt McDonald, currently a Non-Executive Director of the Company, has been appointed Interim Non-Executive Chairman, with immediate effect."

Drilling second well finished over a year ago and final, final results from both wells due any time soon, so will Results also be accompanied by the appointment of an independent (at least nominally)new chairman in place of COC appointee McDonald?

Place your bets now!

Cash situation is that they have around $10mn in the bank and will get $25mn more on FID. investment decision due soon and results out on 7 November where we should hear more on that. New Age have just put two heavy hitting Chinese in as CEO and Chairman (ex CNOOC and ex Sinopec) while Lukoil are stating that they want to do more in West Africa. So lots of news due soon and no value attributed to Etinde at this stage.

I really think we'll get taken out early next year around FID. this could be lower than we are worth but should be 20p plus.

jordaggy, just asking the question on how much spare capacity Marathon had at present without adding the additional two trains which had been mooted in the past.

As it is, am not expecting owt positive on the development front from an RNS if and when one ever does appear. Our hoped for timescales and those of the Chinese and Russians are likely to be a long way apart. Holding development plans, pending further drilling, might well be their choice to establish if sufficient gas can then be found to be able to revert to Plan A, a Chinese constructed FLNG barge.

The now overt Chinese presence might well, though, lead to an offer for the company which will need to be at price to provide COC with an exit at a profit, though very probably well behind the one they (and we) were hoping for and expecting.

Sinopec etc are, of course, entirely normal international companies:

All the other directors are members/deputy secretarys of the "Party Leadership Group"

The Cameroon government need to get investment going so will need to be flexible imo. Let's see but now more confident this will come through q1 next year.

There is currently a world wide glut of lng, a project will not be sanctioned to reinject the gas by cam gov.
Until the lng market improves you're stuck in no man's land.
Eta the Chinese involvement may be your white Knight moment
Good luck

New leadership at New Age. Looks like Chinese have taken over with CNOOC and Sinopec senior execs now in charge.Leadership TeamChengyu Fu – ChairmanYu Liang – Chief Executive OfficerLooks like Etinde will definitely go ahead now, expecting news over the next couple of months and may have to buy some more BLVN.

Important to remember that liquid is more important for Etinde so value here even if they reinject the gas.
