08/8/2018 16:08 | FID will convert contingent resources to reserves and at that stage they become assets but I don't think COC is in it for the long game they have already stated they are looking to monetise the assets and if Lukoil or New Age don't move then I think they will be looking elsewhere. For FID to be granted BLVN would have to commit to their share of development costs and with a two-man skill-set, I don't think they have got the expertise or the inclination to sit at the table. If IM6&7 are a success I'm hoping monetisation will quickly follow. | slipanchor3
08/8/2018 12:39 | welshki Agree, it would be unwise to make a decision on whether to buy or sell on the evidence of current volumes. | slipanchor3
08/8/2018 11:18 | the volume tells you the real story, its down on low volume which i expect means there are no buyers or sellers really in the know one way or the other. even though there is upside value (i believe to the tune of about 60-70p in a sale) even on todays numbers, negative results will hit the share price pretty hard | welshki
08/8/2018 10:49 | The previous drilling results on ETINDE were kept quiet until the RNS that revealed the excellent flows. I doubt there's a leak myself. The bottom line is that we have value here already way in excess of current sp; the drilling is all about extra upside potential imo. | cyan
08/8/2018 10:03 | Down again. I seem to recall this happening before the last results. I wonder whether this is just a tree shake rather than impending bad news.We can't be much more than a couple of weeks away from news? | nicobellic
08/8/2018 07:42 | And today marks 90 days since the Topaz arrival on station so just 60 days to end of contract period to finish off IM-6 then re-locate to and drill and test IM-7. | warbaby43
07/8/2018 23:27 | Wouldn’t get too excited, always more efficient to control risk via trading before an rns; the very last thing that a standard PI can afford is trading during an auction. OK if you are DMA or have a VERY expensive stockbroker, companies I deal with are between £6 and £15 a trade online. They also do the weirdest things with stocks as the nominees which is detestable. | gunsofmarscapone
07/8/2018 20:05 | Will have to set my alarm for 7am we can't be too far away from RNS territory. | slipanchor3

07/8/2018 09:42 | .....should read rig not 'rich'..... | hot_topic
07/8/2018 09:40 | Thanks Slip. I assume some the rich has it's AIS turned off for some reason - they shouldn't but I know some do. Btw I have a proffesional marine background and still involved in offshore work - although now it's renewables. | hot_topic
07/8/2018 09:21 | The Seacor Chetah is a regular visitor she fetches and caries to and from the rig usually spends 1or2 hrs out there. I don't think the rig is finished yet but entering the final stages. The rig is about a mile north of the Gubert Tide. | slipanchor3
07/8/2018 09:08 | Having a quick look at marine traffic for the first time, am i right in thinking the rig should be next to the Gubert Tide? Is the SEACOR CHEETAH also making its way to the rig? Could this activity mean the rig is finished and in preparation to be moved? Or is it common to see this activity with the rig not showing? cheers | ramayer
07/8/2018 08:36 | warbaby43 Purely my personal opinion but there must be critical and less critical times during a drill, for instance, if you're drilling through 300 meters of dry rock there would be less need for a fleet of offshore vessel standing by than when drilling through a gas and condensate section were the risks are much higher and all eventualities have to be covered. As part of the 6 offshore vessels, I mentioned that were in attendance on Frid Sat there were a Salvage and Firefighting vessels so if it wasn't an emergency and there has been nothing in the news to say it was, then they had they had all eventualities covered. The distance from the Rig to Shore is approx 11.5 miles. | slipanchor3
07/8/2018 07:38 | slipanchor3, thanks for that and do you interpret the temporary presence of 6 offshore perimeter vessels as indicating a possible emergency and one which is now past with the reversion to 2 shepherd ships? As a matter of interest what's your estimate of the distance from shore of IM-6? | warbaby43
06/8/2018 18:56 | Hot Topic The rig is not showing the nearest vessel to it is the Desoto Tide the other vessel that has been out there all day is the Yanu Mabel which has been in various positions around the rig, although listed as a passenger's vessel it is not unusual we have had several over the course of the drill, I assume they serve in a rescue capacity. The Gubert Tide is part way down the Wauri River and if joining them should arrive at the rig approx 11 pm. The system does seem a bit Ad Hoc I don't know if there are blind spots or they just switch their transponders off. | slipanchor3
06/8/2018 17:58 | The rig is not showing on Marine Traffic and only see one vessel - Desoto Tide - that looks to be, in what I assume, is the approximate location. Am I correct in this assumption? | hot_topic |
