Now passing the Cape of Good Hope............Surely a prophetic sign of overdue rewards for those who have waited for so long.

Refreshing to see a sensible feedback from Wshak. There is much to be said in having commercially minded people opine of the merits of this investment. The strategy is appropriate given the company's history and balance sheet, management has successfully avoided the cash burn, the discipline appears to be there in the measured approach to spending shareholder funds.....it's all about the drilling program and the ability of the Board to capitalise on the Etinde opportunity if (or when) it presents itself.

Hi Benjimun,

COC don't need to engage with me, or me with them. I did my due diligence on them at the time of the Board fight, and was satisfied that they were straight and had a similar vision for the company as me.

We have loads of cash, tiny cash burn and an asset that a major farmed into at a value far greater than the current share price indicates.

That's it.

Hi Wshak,

Thanks for the update, appreciate it as you are of course not under any obligation to respond. Given you hold a large holding are COC engaging with you as to their plans or progress, within the relevant laws etc?

The investment conerned me due to it following a pre-described scenarios on this board at the time of the takeover. However I was also mindfull of actions to date and previous deals and other institutions increasing their holdings and continue to hold.

I've had a couple of people ask me privately if my views on BLVN have changed, and noted others are wondering above, given my support for COC over the old Board. My views haven't changed, nor has my holding.

I'm not concerned by the investment of a SMALL portion of the cash on the balance in corporate bonds as I believe is appropriate if the purpose if merely to cover G&A expense. I can't imagine that COC would sanction great risks being taken with the cash, given the trouble taken to oust the last lot in charge.

My silence on BLVN on Twitter means nothing as there's nothing to report. Unless I say otherwise, it's always best to assume my views haven't changed. If in doubt, ask - I don't have compliance departments or shareholders pestering me over what I can and can't say regarding my positions. I'll either answer with a straight 'yes' or 'no' if I see the question.

Good to hear you went the rescue route, iamthedogman, am down to one now but over the last 38 years I've had rescue Alsatians, usually two, sometimes three and never a regret over a one.

For all the breeds, the dedicated individuals who run the rescue groups up and down the country do a brilliant job at re-homing and deserve any contribution they can get.

Trying to improve my knowledge here :

1. Given that previous drilling has found gas, why is it listed as P50 ? Is it because even though it is a known reserve, there is only a 50% chance of recovery ?

2. If the new drilling doesn't improve reserves from 1 tcf, what kind of price would BLVN effectively be worth, and would there be an issue with the FID going ahead ?

Just trying to work out the upside/downside.

Hi folks looks like we will stay in a range until drilling starts then results, I am thinking on good results we could top 45-50p which could be a chance to get out all or some , however we are likely to see a take over approach around that news prob by one of our partners and maybe a big cheeky Chinese company? This could see us rise even further and make things very interesting. Prob spud around 20 days from now looking at the progress, does anyone know how long the first drill is due to take? cheers

"iamthedogman" - Eagle at just 1.4 Knots? I trust that for the sake of everyone and everything aboard the sea is like a millpond. Not propulsion problems to be hoped but, perhaps, just slowing down to time arrival to when there is capacity at Luba port.

Yeah, always positive to see an II increasing or a new 3% holder emerging. Meanwhile, on the Bomono front there was a small change in wording on p7 of the latest, 3rd April, Presentation. Previously, it had just been the possibility of a farmout mentioned, but this time it was:

"Complete farm-out or partnership arrangement"

Of any significance only time will tell, but perhaps they are being creative - just so long as they extract BLVN at lowest possible cost.
