And three months today since the AGM and the ousting of Old Joe and Chairman Ashworth - getting to be quite a long time to go with so deficiently constituted a BoD. Some reluctance on replacement candidates to step forward?

The other dopey thing that Hart did was the share buyback. Buybacks are ok if you have earnings and want to increase the earnings per share. He should have paid a special dividend or kept the money in treasury. But he never was very bright.

Today marks the anniversary of Hart's attempted poison pill Bomono farmout which, to his humiliation, was subsequently chucked back at him by SNH. Somehow all seems much longer ago than just twelve months.

Are VOG in any condition to do any sort of deal or, as expected, is the whole thing now dead in the water with just the Last Rites to be formally announced?

Appraisals x 2 are expected to commence in Qtr 2 this year so 6 months seems reasonable. Worth noting these are not explo. but appraisals, BLVN covered to the tune of $40m and on FID BLVN get a kick back of $25m - good reasons to be hopeful with cash being preserved as well.

I would have thought COC will wait for the appraisal drills and then take a view. By then Bomono will have concluded (already written off) - should the appraisals bring good news then this could be very significant. COC have stopped the cash outflow and and surplus cash will be distributed to ALL shareholders. Even if appraisals are disappointing still a worthwhile project for New Age and Lukoil - not long to wait.

What's your plan PJJ71? Re-instate KH and pay him £500k for what? Who was it who spent lavishly and brought our price down?

I see there was a piece yesterday in Shareprophets. Summary is its the writers opinion that BLVN could be sold for a faster profit before the drilling.
Nothing really new.

Any particular reason for the recent weakness (which has been quite sharp on low volume) or is it just apathy until the drilling starts at the backend of Q2 ? Seems that no one is anticipating an offer pre-appraisal.

Well it looks very likely Trump is planning a Full Scale invasion of Scotland, secret submarines have been moving into place over last week, market madness has been engineered to divert attention from this. Nicola Sturgeon and Alex salmon apparently already on there way to Guantanamo bay. Trump wants all Oil and Gas rights in Africa. Dump all BKVN stock at opening bell tomorrow before impending suspension.

I expect there to be some real focus on Etinde, with New Age increasingly more active on the PR front. Whilst I use a cheap online broker this morning I had to place a limit order for a small buy but could sell a significant amount straightaway if required. Probably does not mean too much in current environment but I am hopeful of progress in the coming months.
