Merryl Lynch International now have over 5%. What were they before (definitely less than 3%) ? Cant see them getting involved unless some deal is looming or they see some real value going forward.

How about this lot from pyjamas? The clown is psychotic.

I think 99% of the population have more of a clue than KH... He has overseen significant destruction of shareholder wealth and has spent far too much of his time focusing on racehorses rather than building an oil company...

PJJ7120 Dec '16 - 14:05 - 40326 of 40759

And despite a significant rally in the oil price he has yest again managed to tank the share price to recent depths... that is pathetic

PJJ7120 Dec '16 - 14:06 - 40327 of 40759

Hopefully Mr Wong will buy us out of this misery soon

Lot of rubbish being chatted here by the usual suspects.

As for me being a "well known idiot", it takes one to know one. Nothing in my posting history could even vaguely be described as idiotic. Maybe the idiots are the ones who voted for COC and now defend their every move despite the patient being dead for months. Just a thought.

oil price at multi-year highs and this dog of a share still below where crooked ocean and their boiler shop chums ousted KH...

shocking performance and a textbook example of what happens when the clown circus comes to town..

time for an EGM to oust the crooks (even the delusional supporters must be tired of capital destruction in a multi-year bull market)

President Paul Biya will take advantage of the Cameroon Oil & Gas Summit 2018 to be held in the capital city of Yaoundé from 6-8 February 2018, to launch the country’s next licencing round.

The summit is being organised with the official support from the country’s Ministry of Industry, Mines & Technological Development.
Meanwhile, Egypt says it will launch a lease sale for blocks in the Red Sea, after an ongoing seismic acquisition programme is concluded in the area. The launching is expected to take place before the end of Second Quarter 2018.

Cameroon and Egypt differ widely in their approaches to acreage licencing.

Whereas the Cameroonian government prefers negotiations, which means that this proposed bid round is out of the norm, Egyptian authorities could be described as perennial bid rounders.

In Cameroon, next February, the blocks on offer will be from the eight blocks that are not currently being operated. They include Etinde Exploration, Kombe Nsepe, Tilapia, Ntem, Elombo, Bolongo, Bomana Exploration and Bakassi.

In Egypt, the blocks that will come on offer depend on the results of the 10,000 km 2D long-offset broadband multi-client TGS-NOPEC and Schlumberger project, which commenced in mid December 2017. The project will comprise acquisition of a seismic survey. Advanced new acquisition and imaging techniques will provide better illumination of complex subsalt structures. The project will integrate all legacy seismic and non-seismic data. Acquisition commenced mid-December 2017 and is expected to complete in late Q1 2018.

Malcy's highly subjective view which takes no account of the difficulty of selling into local thermal market and that VOG no longer has a viable business model.

This is good news for Etinde in terms of their local market demand for their gas as there is no way VOG will be able to raise capital for their 75% interest Matanda. Credibility is shot! they will have to think more seriously on how to bring Bomono on line asap if indeed they believe their hype about the size of the local market. Otherwise the VOG burning platform can only benefit Blvn.

VOG has held up pretty well considering. Looks like there was a sell off before the RNS; funny that!

Anyway, whilst we wait here is a link to Malcy and his bucket list. BLVN gets a brief mention at the very end 16min 15 secs; quote "Huge amount of value"

Yes, looks grim for VOG in the morning. The lesson for BLVN is to make sure we sell the LNG to a paying customer.

We are not unfamiliar with the Cameroon government not wanting to pay their way.... remember SNH not wanting to pay their share of costs?

So VOG going to drop like a stone on Monday, does the news from Cameroon affect BLVN?

Place your bets now folks - is it simply more COC buying (odds on, probably) to take them to the very cusp of 30%, or are we going to see a new name among the 3%+ brigade. If the latter, that should give an even bigger boost to the share price

never seen such a large entry in the order book for BLVN. Finger trouble or real ?

stop distorting the facts!!!

the old board were scammed off the scene by some boiler shop website and crooked ocean when the share price was 36p - check the RNS dates. the share price has since tanked 20% and the oil price has nearly doubled..

you are clearly the idiot and delusional to the truth!!!

COC will sell our remaining 20% stake in Etinde prior to the planned drills later this year IMO. The value of this plus the free carry is worth more than the current market cap. The cash and other assets is the profit for COC. Entinde will be a good long term asset however COC will want a quick in out and profit.
