LibraG using the same logic its feasible the decrease to the low of 18p was due in some way to crown, did you consider that possibility? clearly not, that would be a scurrilous suggestion.

re. 40654.
And who was in charge when the share price went DOWN to 18p?
IIRC the buyback scheme had a small effect.
It's feasible that any increase from 18p was entirely due to Crown ... the market looks forward and rumours were aplenty.

Stansmith3 the share price was already heading north from 18p due to the buyback scheme before crown showed their hand, they then shut it down, cant think why

I still suspect Crown Ocean will stitch up PI's in some way shape or form, they are in it for themselves not us plebs. we will see. As I am still nursing losses here I am a holder for the medium term to at least try to mitigate these, but as for the hopeful posts talking about 50 or 60p - I suspect that will be some time never. zzzzzzzzzzzz

I just hope Clown Ocean can get BVLN out of the ridiculous last minute 'value adding' deals the 'BOD' hurriedly entered into, prior to them getting kicked out (lol).
All imho of course!

All very interesting but with clown ocean at the helm im not sure BLVN has the management team to capture such opportunity.. neither does the market given the tanking in the share price since they took over...

Please check your facts.. since the day that clown ocean ousted the previous management team the share price has tanked 20% despite an improvement in the oil price and stock markets hitting all time highs... so i think it is you who is using the wrong baseline.. An EGM is needed to oust the snouts from the trough and credibility returned...

PJ; It seems to me that you're using the wrong baseline. The price before Crown Ocean "got their snouts in the trough" was around 25% lower than today's share price

Not sure if you're a moron or vested?

sad times,, the oil price racing away and this dog as flat as a pancake at a trough 20% below the days before the clown ocean got their snouts in the trough.... linked with the abyss of any news flow it is time to call an EGM and bring back KEV!!!!

So looks like the China linked FLNG project as per the Cyan post 16795, but presumably not sufficiently inked to the point of being RNS ready.

PS Cameroon not exactly a haven of peace and tranquillity and surprising nary a word of this in the UK media, given that this is usually reported in Cameroon as the Anglophone uprising:

Not sure if already mentioned but New Age Twitter account retweeted a couple of UK in Cameroon tweets - one titled 'New Age to invest in a $2.6b project offshore drilling of gas in Cameroon'

Hopefully at last progress is being made - it looks brighter for BLVN positioned well for the next drill activity, perhaps explains why COC still adding if share price shows any weakness.

Agree Cyan, moreover I thought the BOD and particularly Ed and Kev were too corporate and Russel group in their careers. I prefer gritty entrepreneurs who can tackle scenarios with attitude and kinetic energy. The Bomono wells were beset with issues but, and I am open do a different interpretation, no evidence existed of Ed or Kev pulling on wellies and spending an entire MONTH trouble shooting and supporting or firing in field management.

I would love to know how many weekends those guys put in to make their stipends justifiable.

The negative side of degree level education I'm afraid, spiffing wednesday afternoons boffing the fly-half in the showers, nice early finish on a friday from watching a bearded command economy socialist talking twaddle before quaffing four pints of Bishops Scrotum in the Nelson Mandela bar in the union building.

I should have walked but at least offloaded physicals before and during the very well executed piece of capitalism.

We live and learn GOM. Hope to eventually escape with a reasonable profit. My buying pattern similar to yours with a bit of trading thrown in. Be glad to see a final resolution here.
Be nice to see 50p eventual payback. Maybe 18 months to then, who knows?

53p based on the over complex and delusional monetisation plan, a position at about 80p which I learnt from mainly in terms of patience and developing a more rational approach to O and G development, having developed a more watch and wait attitude collected large tranches between 20-25p mostly sold around 30p.

To be honest Blvn hasn't caused too much damage, in fact its been education to be honest. I attended a couple of London meetings, studied all of the presentations and audios and now feel better able to spot 'creative' comments and to be better able to rate (in)competence where it exists or risky/greedy behaviour in directors. I am not suggesting that anything of that nature occurred at Blvn.

The experience therefore was not wholly negative and I have applied more judgement and patience particular in the execution of buy orders, in achieving a higher level (I think!) of probity and care I have been able to build what I think are very large positions in a number of companies.

Taking on recovery stocks was also very developmental in terms of patience and the evaluation of risk. My portfolio has a time horizon from when I started in 2009 of 15-20 years.

Challenging isn't it?
