Yeah, heads we win and tails we don't lose provided that one or both of the appraisal drills proves successful and the fact that there are two drills programmed does, reassuringly, spread some of that risk.

I am all for taking that $40m plunge given the size of the potential prize but as well as all the haggling with SNH, I should perhaps have flagged up as well the stance of Lukoil on all this and how on board they are with forking out.

If one proves up even more reserves there are then options for multiple off take solutions .

Yes, we can proceed now without further appraisals but our out game via an ETINDE sale may be at a discount of what a proved up larger asset could be worth.

Fast development and quick sale equals less money than the true potential ,of proved up value of Etinde could yield for us.

Worth remembering the conditions; if they do not drill ,we get $40 million.

Isn't the big question there one of demand and sequencing given the indication (eg p6 of the 2016 AGM presentation) that sufficient resource already exists for a development without further drilling.

Comes back to the market for an FLNG project and the status of the Ferrostaal development on which there appears to be a lengthy silence (on their website only Algeria and Morocco feature.)

Little Etinde news from BLVN, I guess, until SNH and New Age come to an agreement over money and the way forward.

I think that value of the gas is higher given others are getting more per TCF. I thought VOG were getting $3-4 per TCF?

What is the value of 2TCF. We have a 20% share. One tcf is a trillion cubic feet; 1,000,000,000,000.
Our fifth in volume terms would be 400,000,000,000.
What is that worth?
To get a ball park one could look at GENL who have an agreed price to supply gas from their gigantic field, as and when developed. They are to be paid $1.20 per 1,000 cubic feet.



Our share of a possible extra 2 TCF is, in GROSS terms, book worth, maybe $480 million dollars.

Not that we will get anything like that in any sale , of course.

Of course that will add much value to our 20% when it comes to the sale.
I suspect COC are like minded.

I think patience will be well rewarded and I have been surprised at the sp's excessive weakness; hardly a premium to our cash.

I have no idea when the next announcement will come. However the share price and reasoned projections have been enough for me to re-build my holding. There will be a significant pay day; only question for me is when?

Re - Crown Ocean have destroyed the share price, the only reason it went up was because Crown Ocean were building their position, without that it would probably have tanked further
