just bought some seems to be a bargain to me happy days . We have a host of results in the next 10 days I think they will be amalgamated by someone.

You did , but the company still had EPS of 90p last yr. I just added at 775 ; looks to be bouncing this morning.

I sold at 820 a few months back. Looks like I called it right for once.

Broker - we cut our 2017 volume estimate to the low end of guidance (-15% below 2016)

Agree. And I prefer a takeover to a new CEO. Too often the emperor's new clothes become transparent too quickly. After they have first rubbished all the profit forecasts, and made big provisions so they can seemn to be hero later

Or putting it another way , the EPS forecast for next yr of around £1 makes the current share price seem a bargain at around 850. I still think chronically undervalued.

Phil Oakley's weekly roundup for Sharescope subscribers features a search for stocks with dividend qualities. Search parameters:

Dividend yield of at least 3%
Forecast dividend growth of at least 10%
Forecast dividend cover of at least 1.5 times.

Which instument came out top? Well, Galliford Try (GFRD) did actually, follewed by Crest Nicholson.

But, which instrument came sixth in the list?

Yep, you guessed it.

Don't agree. Bvs was a mess under last CEO. Hope it will get sorted when new CEO in place, or Bvs taken out.

'Merger of Bovis and Berkeley on shaky ground'

A City attempt to lay the foundations of a £5bn merger of Bovis Homes and Berkeley Group is on shaky ground, with Berkeley understood to have rejected the idea.

Schroders, Bovis’ biggest shareholder, wrote to Berkeley proposing an all-share merger following a difficult trading period for Bovis which claimed the scalp of its chief executive David Ritchie.

.....Other housebuilders, such as rivals Redrow or Persimmon, could still be in the frame to buy Bovis, which has struggled in recent months with slowing sales of its homes amid wider market uncertainty.

Great news! About time. As I mentioned earlier there is plenty of value for other proper builders to take out Bovis. Regards,Source.

Errrm I would hope they do as they are likely to be same money for it as you. (Though given the level of your statement, they'll likely have higher standards though)Regards,Source.

If you're some Somalian with 6 kids you're upgrading from a mud hut to a house with a bendy ceiling and a toilet not in the middle of some paddy field. They are not going to complain are they?

Sorry shaker44. No unfinished post intended. I was going to have a go at mondaytuesday for yet another of his foul-mouthed posts, but I decided not to waste my time. I have no wish to cast my pearls before swine.

To add to the debate about unfinished Bovis Homes:

Smacks of desperation to tidy up the end of year figures. Big time fail!

well Bovis is down 21% from immediate pre-Brexit level. That's way more than any other housebuilder.

BKG and TW. are down about 12.5% as are a few others.
Persimmon down about 5%.

The news from BVS has been disappointing but I think the shares are at a very cheap level against its peers now given it has the best book-to-value metric and is yielding nearly 5%.

not unusual to 'discount' for early completion. Storm in a teacup. Ceo was out because ineffective and has been for a while.
