10/5/2004 09:53 | skyship thanks for the confirmation the debtors figure is cash Even with a cash burn over 100K this is significantly under valued v NAV and a complete bargain compared to other companies awaiting acquisition/RTO EGM for 25th june means something should be announced soon so shareholders can be given the correct notice period Even if Fulton Partners do take a large fee with 54% they still have the most to gain or lose (there share worth £1m last month) from the movement of the share price Also with such a large holding it does affect liquidity which hurts on the way down but makes it soar on the way up i am thinking of topping up but will wait until 1pm so others have a chance to buy Real spread is 13.75-16.5 | nissi beach
08/5/2004 11:24 | Hi Tiltonboy - glad to meet you here too! The Chairman, Sir Thomas Macpherson, returned my call yesterday (0207-491-7674 x.206). I rang to query the fall, expressing my concern as to the security of the Company's funds, bearing in mind the fact that, rather than on secure deposit, the funds are actually held as a "non-interest bearing deposit with a non-financial institution - repayable AT 3 MONTHS NOTICE". The cash therefore appears in the B/s as a debtor. How the directors can claim this to be in the best interests of shareholders I cannot imagine. To my mind the business stinks of vested interests, bearing in mind the 54% controlling interest of Fulton Partners - a Monaco based investment company which last year was paid £79/- consultancy fees!! The reporting professionals - auditors, solicitors and brokers (Seymour Pierce) must surely have been a tad concerned. There is a lot to be concerned about; and the fate of Izodia last year hangs in the air as a reminder of what can happen. Still, having said all that, it may well be that truly there is nothing to worry about; and the directors and controlling shareholders may all prove to be competent and honest men. We will see. Sir Thomas said that the reason for the long delay in the reconstruction & acquisition is down to the sheer weight of legislative paperwork required nowadays. To my mind that is rather disingenuous; still, with the combined AGM/EGM scheduled for 25th June, there is now not too long to wait. Certainly at a price now at just 50% of NAV; BOU may well prove a reasonable punt; and actually a fair investment if you can reassure yourselves as to the probity of Fulton Partners. Anyone good at ferreting out information from Monaco or Seymour Pierce? | skyship
07/5/2004 15:23 | 25K sell probaley the one that spooked the mm yesterday. With the seller out of the way the mm could take this up now once some buying starts who bought the 5K | nissi beach
07/5/2004 15:10 | balanced out with the 5k buy and 25k sell? | bartonski
07/5/2004 10:31 | Looking at the balance sheet it has a net assets £2m which even if it has lost another £100K that leaves £1.9m v market cap of £1.1m Even without the acquistion £1.9m is still greater than market cap I am i missing something or is this not a screaming buy | nissi beach
07/5/2004 09:52 | Nissi, As far as I understand somebody tried to sell 25K when the price was 18p bid. The MM's took fright, and called the price down. Somebody sold a small amount at 13p, and the price was called down again. It looks as if the MM's paniced a little bit, and as you rightly say, a net 20K has gone out of their hands, yet the share price is lower. The company suggested that an acquisition was on the cards for this spring, perhaps somebody got wind thta it wasn't going to plan, and tried to sell. With a £1m market cap, I don't mind taking a risk. tiltonboy | tiltonboy
07/5/2004 09:37 | so what happened 1 some one sold 10K at 17p followed by 2 smaller sells of 2K at 16 and 13p Tiltonboy bought 25K at 14p and then another person 10K at 15.5p so net buys 35K less 15K equals mm with 20K LESS stock and the prices falls strange but tempted at sub 17p for instant move back to 20-22p | nissi beach
06/5/2004 16:05 | was just going to buy when they withdraw my 14.1p quote quick bounce on i suspect | nissi beach
06/5/2004 16:03 | Just bought 25K at 14p. Market cap of only £1m, makes it worth a punt(for me). tiltonboy | tiltonboy
