Well, I am not into campaigning, but, try these:

Screen (02-03-2000) "Buy". Updated with "Buy" (27-04-2000). Updated with "Hold" (15-06-2000). Updated with "Buy" (21-09-2000).

Two gems from 26-10-2000, "Buy" IBI and Railtrack.

Baron Corporation given a "Buy" (7-09-2000 & 14-09-2000).

But, to be fair, I have also profited quite a bit by buying into a number of other tips given in Shares Magazine. I have also consolidated profits and minimised losses by following Shares Magazine's "sell" advice when I have been holding certain other shares. I guess it's all a matter of "Do your own research".

I have been concerned for some months about Shares magazine and I am thinking of making a complaint about them to the finacial services authority or the press complaints commision..perhaps both... but I would like something more substantial than my experience and hunch.

mc,

Yes, and yes. But, one wonders why you are asking.

Shares suspended today. These shares were written about very favourably in Shares magazine last year. Has anyone a copy of the text of that article, also does anyone have any other stories of shares being written about in Shares magazine (or any other) that has subsequntly slumped?

Mike,

Thanks, looking forward to tomorrows action. Hopefully there will be some clarification on who was trading so much of Baron's equity on Friday.

Regards

Mr Bristow

A company called ESI did say they wanted to buy 5% of Baron's equity recently.
They are into leisure software like Baron so you never know.

Mr Dil

Another season has just ended and again WREXHAM F C are the best team in Wales.

Yes very interesting. Any background info on this 'bird' of yours? Are we talking takeover rumour by any chance?

Peel Hunt are now forecasting eps of 8.8p for the year to Aug 2001 and they tell me they have never forecast eps of 16p for this period despite Hemclott showing it.

Even eps of 8.8p gives a PE of 3.5 which is cheap as chips.
The year after they go for eps of 19p !!!

I have written to the spineless Welsh FA to tell them having a replay with TNS is a farce.
TNS should have been awarded the game and then been knocked out by mighty Wrexham.

Mike:

So they could offload that 350,000 they got at 10p. There was another trade of 200,000 at 23p besides the 240,000 reported above (at 23p) so the markdown probably enabled the MM's to pick up the extra they needed to fill the deals assuming the other 200,000 was a buy.

Another announcement should be due as 200,000 is in excess of 4% of the company.

Getting interesting.

As for Barry Town they will now be able to finish the job properly :-)

But Dil what I can't get my head around is why they were marked down 17p before those 2 big trades yesterday ??

I see jammy Barry get a second bite at TNS-bloody disgusting if you ask me.
