perroverde - its about Games Workshop - who made £89m pre tax in the year to May -and are clearly successful - bowing to shareholder pressure because Mr Donaldson was spread to thin; so he stands down as chairman.

Their term for it overboarded.

Contrast that with the Directors common to BOD , PET, CLON, ARK and I believe they also have a company called Greenore or some such.

The ARK RNS states that JT and Finn are going to manage ARK's zinc business.

So your confused new investor may not know of the relationship of all of these companies sharing common directors.

They may not know just how thin the directors time has to be spread.

Its not just that these are different listed companies.
They are in different business fields and had "interests" all over the world.

So we are led to believe they know all about managing ....

Diamonds in Botswana and South Africa.
Gold and zinc in Ireland and Scotland
Oil in the Atlantic, Ghana, Iraq, Jordan, another African country
Oil and Gas in Peru
Lithium in Bolivia
and other projects all over the world

But these have created nothing but losses on the balance sheets of the quoted 4 above.

The question is - when do shareholders ask the same questions of directors time being spread too thin - especially in the context of such accumulated losses ?

Are you sure you are posting on the right board? What has 'Mr Donaldson' got to do with Botswana Diamonds? Nothing as far as I am aware...?
Just thought I'd make the point in case a new investor or would-be investor is being confused.
While like most other shareholders I'd like to see more activity and some real creation of value for shareholders (give it time!), I really can't see justification for criticism of it being a 'lifestyle business' and comparison with other 162Group investments/companies is irrelevant in my view.

There are companies out there - successful companies whose make a pile of money - whose shareholders take directors time and responsibilities seriously :-

"we understand that the concerns are largely in relation to Mr Donaldson being overboarded in terms of the calls on his time. The Board is confident that Mr Donaldson discharges effectively his role as Chairman, notwithstanding his other board commitments. As referenced in our recent Annual Report, Mr Donaldson will be standing down from the role of Chairman of Games Workshop"

Share directors as well as JT and Finn saying the are managing ARK's zinc business (business yeah right) on a day to day basis, so how thin is their time spread.

Is it any wonder with such stretched resources they achieve nothing ?

6m or more has gone by and they have drilled 2 holes....

"4m of kimberlite was interested from 54-58m in Hole ID M17H001
No kimberlite was identified in Hole ID M17H002."

Planned to drill some more ... next quarter.

In the interim period they had another huge dilution to raise £300k.

At this rate of progress they will be raising money for years - before they ever decide
- if the kimberlite contains any diamonds
- if any are economical

Digging holes 54m down would be very expensive.
