Now that I look again, maybe it's an optical illusion like the blue/white dress thing.

Could be a hat coming upwards rather than a container going downwards.

At the very end James says "thank you very.." and then the word "much" is cut off. At that point there is a bird's eye view looking into a bucket or other metallic container.
