A bit more from the year-end report:-

"The second joint venture had exciting results in 2015. Maibwe is a joint venture on 10 licences in the Gope region. The joint venture is made up of three parties BCL, a Botswana state owned copper/nickel producer which was given 51% in return for a 10 million Pula investment (US$1 million approx.); Future Minerals, a local Botswana group (20%) who first acquired the licences and Siseko Minerals (29%), a South African company. Botswana Diamonds holds 51% of Siseko. Siseko and Future have a free carry up to Bankable Feasibility Study. BCL is the operator.

Though 10 prospecting licences are held by Maibwe, comprehensive work has been successfully carried out on PL 186. This work has managed to identify four diamond bearing kimberlite pipes forming a cluster within close proximity to each other. The pipes were identified through a series of ground-magnetic surveys at 50m spacing and 800m of diamond core drilling from which 305kg of sampled material returned diamonds. The work was carried out by Joint Venture partner BCL.

The four pipes have sizes 5ha, 6ha, 2ha and 1ha respectively, collectively summing up to more than 12ha of diamondiferous kimberlite material. These pipes are in close proximity to each other. The mineral chemistry shows the pipes have diamond compositions similar to the Orapa diamond composition.

Verification drilling is needed. The fall in commodity prices has made BCL heavily loss making and as a result BCL have been unable to undertake their agreed work programme. To date, BCL have been reluctant to dilute their interest by allowing outside investors to undertake the necessary work. BCL is now in provisional liquidation. Discussions are ongoing with the liquidator to allow a combination of Future Minerals/Siseko/BOD/others, to conduct the essential drilling to verify exactly what is in kimberlite GP 173 on PL 186."

Mick its not yet proven commercially viable - it might be - but to say "will be viable as a mine!" is not factually correct - and you know it.

As for every other company except AFD in the last what 10 years(?) you cannot argue with my post - its fact - as evidenced by the companies' own accounts. Point me to any of them with a completed profitable project and retained earnings - you can't.

How long ago was AFD ? I suppose you would still have Moyes managing Man Utd as well.

BCL's share (51%) of the Maibwe (Brightstone) project will have to go somewhere.

BOD currently has a 15% free carry through to BFS.

Hi PeterBCL own a 51% stake in the Brightstone block which is known to contain diamonds and will be viable as a mine! This is where bod have a 15% stake to bankable feasibility, BCL had 51% because they promised to do the advanced drilling needed and had the capability to set up the mine to start production, there is a court hearing tomorrow which should start the liquidation process meaning the assets are there to be had, bod are in advanced talks already to do the drilling and take a bigger share, BCL values their share of Brightstone at 1.9 Billion dollars! I hope this helps

I see Fenners is still posting? I thought about unblocking him/her to see what it was saying! It's probably just more verbal diarrhoea about how we are all gamblers who don't know as much as he/she does! Yawn, it must have lost an awful lot to have such a hatred for a group of companies that for me have performed really well! This share is a massive and strong buy please don't be put off by the bitter! GLA

Oh yes liking that sooo much.

23% of the enlarged company 100m/438m shares at 1.9p so £1.9m + £942k total consideration just less than £3m ... if they bother.

Then there's the story - fabulous new opportunity, one might say why? Just in case Botswana is a dud? After all they have added yet another country to the list of possible travel expenses here surely spreading themselves too thin ?
But that doesn't matter after all they have no current successful ventures and that has not stopped them selling shares yet.

This might be ok, but for the track record. Please go through the different companies , PET , Connemara , Clontarf etc. and see that this is what they have done for many years - always a new project , always promises the Earth always consigning the last project to the bin and writing off £m of capitalised cost in the process. Rinse and repeat and I'm just worried that new investors will be sucked in here for the same to happen again. You big boy eyes wide open Clontarf can't do anything wrong , gamblers or apologists deserve all you get so don't care about you. Its the next set of novices......
