31/1/2017 21:28 | Were BCL using AFD's/Lucara's old AK6 plant for ore processing? I may be totally off base with that (yep I was off base it is Tsodilo Resources that are using LUC's plant) but even so given Lucara's history with AFD one would have to speculate that LUC might be interested in the brightstone block and be prepared to do a deal with BOD/BCL? | claudyhe
31/1/2017 17:04 | It would be prudent for them to only value what is there's! We are sat on a diamond mine here! I've said for a long time that the market appears to have missed this one! And there's still BCL's 51% share t negotiate over! If memory serves me correct they only had that share based on all the work they said they would fund! My money is that this will be picked up by BOD and the JV! Happy days! GLA........ | mickluv1

27/1/2017 16:43 | May 11, 2016 BCL explores for diamonds in Gope Works to determine the quality and amount of gems at BCL's diamond mining project in the Gope region has commenced as the struggling copper and nickel miner seeks to diversify revenue streams. The Maibwe diamond project is 51 percent owned by BCL while exploration company, Botswana Diamonds (BOD) owns 15 percent of the project.BCL exploration projects in the Gope area are estimated to have a potential value of over P20 billion ($1.9 billion). In a statement released this week, BOD chairman, John Teeling said a large diameter-drilling programme would commence shortly on an exploration licence, which is part of the Maibwe block of licences in the Gope region."We now know there are diamonds on the licence," Teeling said. "The upcoming drilling is to establish the grade and quality." The planned drilling for macro diamond evaluation, to be undertaken by Maibwe Diamonds, is to follow up on diamond drilling conducted in 2015 on the exploration licence, which found a number of diamondiferous kimberlites."The drilling is to confirm the 2015 results and gain a clearer understanding of the grade and size frequency distribution of diamonds," he added. "Work on the other licences within the Maibwe block is also planned. The area is deemed highly prospective for diamond discoveries."In 2013, BOD signed a joint venture agreement with Brightstone Mining on the block. BCL subsequently took over the block in 2015 and created Maibwe Diamonds.Teeling said the Maibwe project was completely separate from the Botswana Diamonds/Alrosa joint venture. There is currently only one operating mine in the Gope area, the Ghaghoo mine owned by Gem Diamonds. With copper reserves fast running out in Selibe-Phikwe, the future of the BCL group largely hinges on their Polaris 11 strategy, whose spinoffs the company is already enjoying. "By 2020 copper reserves would have almost run out and the future of the group would be anchored on the Polaris projects which involves diversifying into energy projects, iron ore, coal and diamonds," BCL group managing director, Dan Mahupela recently told the media. According to Mahupela, the Maibwe project has a potential in situ value of $1.9 billion (P21 billion). | tomatoma2
27/1/2017 13:02 | "....the purpose of this and many other boards is to promote the shares to non holders in order to create a demand for the shares which may lead to holders one day selling them for more than they paid." Isn't that's a bit unfair on me Fenners? | euclid
27/1/2017 10:03 | Mick these comments are mostly quotes from accounts produced at Clontarf Rd, and you can;t bear to read them, did you know about Greenore? Are there any more you don't know about? As far as "this thread is for BOD holders" I have to say that is pathetic. You may be a BOD holder and you may think you are going to make a whole load of money by buying and holding the shares, how? If they turned into a perennial dividend payer perhaps but realistically the only way to make any money from this and most other shares is to SELL them to someone else, a non holder perhaps , someone late to the party , someone who needs to find out stuff they missed from Co. published information or from a board like this. So a contention to keep this or any other board to holders only is ridiculous, the purpose of this and many other boards is to promote the shares to non holders in order to create a demand for the shares which may lead to holders one day selling them for more than they paid. Only thing is when someone comes along quoting from the Co. accounts it shatters the illusion. | fenners66
27/1/2017 08:48 | I've Got fenners blocked from a while back, "Thanks mickluv" for responding to it as someone has to re balance the negativity! Sorry I can't be bothered to read drivel x | markfrankie
26/1/2017 21:52 | I had my attention drawn to a company called Greenore Gold Plc on the Connemara thread. I know you supporters (or apologists) are not interested but for the average Joe Punter looking in here just be aware this is yet another use of the directors' time.... I looked them up - not quoted? Anyway from their website , I loved this bit..... "Experienced BoD, committed to adding value Board has listed 15 companies on AIM" Adding value to what? Their pension pots perhaps, show me the current listed shares that have added any value for the mug punters.... Listed 15 companies on aim ..... surely that says everything. Since they are always the same directors just shows they do not have any time to make a success of any of them. But that does not matter because success for them is the listing. Note they go on to say absolutely nothing about all except one of those company's performance. Because there is nothing good to say. Perhaps they could tell the public that of the currently listed companies there are zero sales , huge losses and endless rounds of refinancing - did I miss anything? Looked Up Greenore Gold's last set of accounts Go on guess what I found .... Before the results are revealed, these ditties: "Our challenge is to progress a focussed set of high potential projects without diluting shareholders unnecessarily." Then the report goes on to say that their partner Turkish miner Koza Ltd will have a 2 year earn in agreement for 60% of the holding company and for a further 4 years this will rise to 80% .... not much dilution there then. Seems they have learned much from all the years with the Clontarf stable huh? The highly technical sounding work that appears to have been done by Koza ..... collecting 3kg of stream sediment per sqKm - 155 samples and sending it off for analysis.....Wow! Hey its all right they have risen to the dizzy heights of getting a student in to do the work on the Ayrshire prospect. Ok so those results ....... Accumulated losses of (rounded) £50k after capitalising £250k of intangibles. Directors paid in ... shares. Directors billing paid by Koza £44k Botswana Diamonds very kindly lent them £8k in 2015 after all they share an office and directors and Botswana have loads of money right? Ok so it's small fry - but it has not been floated yet - however it is another distraction, just how thinly can these guys get away with spreading themselves and getting paid for it? | fenners66
26/1/2017 20:43 | $1.9 Billion Maibwe worth!! I wonder where that valuation came from! There must be some basis for it and am wondering why that wasn't in any RNS given the magnitude of that disclosure! Bright and happy days ahead strong buy IMOH..... GLA and great find by the way that's cheered me up tonight ? | mickluv1
