In spite of a Simon Thompson (IC) online tip update, BOOT down 2% today.

We all know the importance of the 300p support; well in these Markets perhaps best not trust it further as there could be quite a fall back to previous support and the 200dat MA.

Very disappointing reaction of the market to these stellar results.
What's going on?
General market jitters and nobody wants shares anymore.
These are excellent results by anyone's standards,sorry to see they did not feature in the IC at all today or Money AM.Strange.
We will wait for ST to comment.

Tough day in the markets with the threat of a trade war looming and interest rate hikes, but I would expect these results to weather that and come out on top.

These results are incredible, particularly profits and earnings per share. Worth topping up at these levels as p/e ratio extremely low given net gearing and net assets

2017 KEY HIGHLIGHTS

-- Revenue increased 33% to GBP408.5m (2016: GBP306.8m)
-- Profit before tax increased 40% to GBP55.4m (2016: GBP39.5m)
-- Earnings per share increased 49% to 32.1p (2016: 21.5p)
-- Proposed final dividend of 5.20p (2016: 4.50p), giving a total for the year of 8.00p (2016: 7.00p), a 14% increase

-- Net asset value per share increased 15% to 203p (2016: 177p)
-- Conservative gearing at 11% (2016: 14%), net debt GBP29.0m (2016: GBP32.9m)
-- Strategic land acreage now 13,273 acres (2016: 11,888 acres)

I decided to close today - it's gone nowhere since the last "ahead of expectations" update and with current conditions market punishing anything that isn't meeting expectations so wanted to avoid gap risk. Good luck to holders tomorrow

Always good to see "materially ahead" in a trading statement. The market certainly liked it. Let's hope we get some follow up buying this week.

2018? No concerns for me. The BoD have sensibly established a reputation for under promising and significantly over delivering.
I feel sure Simon Thompson at Investors chronicle will give the share price a further boost.
Onwards and upwards....

I think that cautious statement over 2018 figures .i.e. No uplift in forecast,will hold back price at least until actual figures come out at year end. But very positive news.
