"Online retailer shares pressured by change in US online tax regime"

Shares in several online retailers have fallen on the news of a recent US Supreme Court decision that could potentially see them facing larger tax bills.

On June 21, the court voted to overturn a 1992 physical presence requirement, which would now allow states in the US to collect an extra US$8-23bn a year in sales taxes.

Regarding specific retailers, Liberum’s analysts said they expected around a 5% blended increase in ASOS plc’s (LON:ASC) US tax rate, with a potential headwind in the “high single digit millions”.

For Boohoo.com PLC (LON:BOO), analysts expected an immaterial headwind due to a lower sales exposure for the region, in addition to estimating little impact for Ted Baker PLC (LON:TED) and Joules Group PLC (LON:JOUL).

The markets were taking the news predictably, with shares in ASOS dropping 4.8% to 6,286p, shares in Boohoo falling 3% to 199.5p, and shares in Joules down 0.9% at 363p in early morning trading Friday.

The H&S shoulder, if it was one, with the low at 140 on 04/04/2018 was broken on 11/05/2018 at 193.
It looked more like a bowl and handle to me on a daily candle chart but the line chart, on this thread, does look like an H&S. (All depends how and to what scale you plot these things).
However, the break of that pattern is well past imv and we're now looking for support at 200 and resistance at 217 in a channel trading range.
On a weekly chart it looks like an H&S too but, again, that was broken at about 200 in the week of 25/05/2018 and is past.
We're above the 200d moving average but that average has turned to trend downwards since beginning March approximately.

Growth investors will not like the 200d downward trend albeit that the share price is currently above the 50d moving average and trending upwards. They would tend to want to wait for confirmation that the trend is upwards again.

In the yearly chart, is it an inverse head & shoulders forming? Any technical analysts?

FredFishcake,
I would not mind either.
Gemma is hansome, fully grown and plenty to handle

Paris is thinner, more manouvrable, and lovely too play.

So different ladies, different markets, different appeal to women.
Still a success as sales doing very well.

Now if you to get dressed for your holidays look at Boohooman

Are the mms playing some sort of a game?

Very suspicious the fall in the absence of any news.
Are the Canadians still in the shorting play or is the American Idiot shorting his millions of shares.

very mysterious happennings.

The agm will give it a boost, happy are those who bought so cheaply.

I expect the share price to rise after the agm as the news will be positive enoughto strengthen the price. Why? There's no trading update today. If there was it would have been released at 7am.

There's nothing price sensitive at this AGM. No AGM statement RNS. You'll get a "all resolutions duly passed" RNS later, perhaps Monday, that's it imo.
