Re: AHL

Yes, they have increased their short position. However, what we don't know is whether this is a general strategy of shorting a wide range of stocks in the belief that the market will head down for a retest of the recent lows (pretty likely IMHO). BOO may well not follow given how beaten down it already is.

Also, worth noting that short interest is usually a bit out of date - I think (please correct me if I'm wrong) that it's only updated every 2 weeks.

Noted Meijiman - however, somewhat "tongue in cheek" if BOO goes up to ASOS in price terms for me the share price is far from meaningless - now I am off to church to pray for the miracle. Who knows...............

Agree, and I think it still is misunderstood by the market since, as today with the retail figures and insolvency reports, it always gets hit by general (conventional) retail news.

In itself share price is meaningless but BOO has been derated relative to ASOS and appears to be growing earnings faster............

Yes Meijiman - what a contrast. ASOS currently at 7066 p - Boohoo at 175 p. Can't work it out

There does seem to be a contrast with ASOS which seems much loved, and BOO which is a better company going forward IMO.

Well Boohoo is giving the customer/public what it wants and also what analysts and the market should want - 100% up in sales/profits up etc. etc. but look at the share price - don't see much upside here I have to say

I think that is good news for BOO - they, and other on-line retailers, are punishing the old business models that are yet to adapt.

In the same article there is a link at the bottom, underneath the main article, to a report that Levi Strauss have had their best year for 10 years. Proof that if you provide what the customer wants, there is plenty of upside.
