Interims not good reading. Payments growth slowing right down, identity business going backwards. Some guff about S shaped growth...sounds like management has lost sight of where it's future lies.

Apple had an excellent product announcements day yesterday. It covered new products, new services and new services payments bundles. New services products included health and fitness videos and blood oxygen monitoring. Apple sees health being its largest long term market and larger than streaming music, videos and products. It's possible to see governments giving each of their people an e health wallet where identity is vital for delivery and usage. US investment analysts value Apple's services business at approximately $950bn.

PLEASE CHECK MY ABACUS BEADS:

(1) TPV GROW 35%. REVENUE GROWTH 9%. => BIG DROP (ABOUT 25%) IN TAKE RATE

(2) JUNE 20 TPV = $500m JAN TO MAY (5 MONTH AV IN LST REPORT) IS $520m. => VOLUME IS SHRINKING NOW.

WHY NOT SAYING 1H EBITDA GROWTH - IS IT SHRINK MAYBE?

The slowdown in June is a worry for me and so second half is going to be a stretch to reach target I reckon. Not sure what to think of the identity business but they have staked a lot on it and so far not much to show for it. I am not sure I like growth through acquisition either but maybe there is some valuable technology. Overall slightly concerning but H2 will be critical in getting traction on the identity business.
I now much prefer the Bango model where everything is firing on all cylinders and the potential seems huge.
I sold 2/3 and may move that into Bango if the price there falls again.

Hi Alan , you are a few steps ahead of me age wise, so I will wish harder for us both.

Totally puzzled why this one keeps slipping back, but the market is a strange beast..
