Mlf51 yes although early days it is a bit disappointing this morning....yesterday plenty of early buying but somebody off loading........and today an RNS that I would regard as more exciting than the Friday one that generated yesterday's buying, ....result? No early buying.

Q3 Trading Update, Cash Flow Review and Funding

Blancco Technology Group plc today provides an update on its Q3 2017 trading performance, the outcome of its recent cash flow review and funding requirements.

Trading performance

Blancco announces that trading for the third quarter to 31 March 2017 ("Q3 2017") has been strong. Group sales in the period were up 48% year-on-year on a constant currency basis, comprising 36% growth in erasure and 189% pro forma growth in diagnostics. In the first nine months of the year, Group sales increased 34% year-on-year in constant currencies, with erasure growth now at 26% and pro forma diagnostics growth at 137%. The outlook for full year 2017 sales and adjusted operating profit remains in line with market expectations.

Cash flow review

Since the interim results on 14 March 2017, the Company has undertaken a review of its cash flow forecasts. The Company has identified that costs associated with past acquisition activity, including earn-outs and advisors' fees, the later arrival of a large government contract and the slipping of larger contract deals to later in this current quarter will all build pressure on the forecasted cash available to the Company during Q4.

Further funding

The Company has revised its projection for group net debt to around £5.5m at June year end and requires additional funding of a minimum of £4m over the coming weeks to address the working capital position and increase the Company's headroom.

The Board is exploring a range of possible sources for this additional funding and is initiating discussions with its bankers and shareholders concerning the most appropriate way to fill the funding shortfall. The Company is confident of a satisfactory outcome and will update the market further when appropriate.

This announcement contains inside information for the purposes of Article 7 of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014.

I suppose it is a way of lowering your average price, whilst still wanting to be a long term share holder but believing that there is going to be a short term downward trend. If I understand the mechanics correctly, which I might have got wrong, this move allows you to do that without having to commit more money in order to bring down your average. Of course, I could be totally wrong!!

Normally that is a forward sale (naked short) where a person shorts the stock and takes the placing, repaying his short from his placing stock and an easy profit is made by that.

They call that "liquidity" on AIM!!!

I haven't accessed the subscriber site to read Lucien Myers' latest thoughts on BNN so can't comment on them. The market doesn't seem too bothered though on todays showing.
The recent successful placing at 80p would suggest that the current price is fair value at present. Let's hope for further positive news soon. Good luck all longs.

It doesn't even make the list of shorted stocks that I can see, so it has <0.5% short.

Big shorters I would think as lucien has done another piece on Sunday he is still open to the elimates and need to close,but his short is to large to do so.
Another day like today and the price should climb to 85p.
Look forward to more news on industrial leaders join the club and may be a RNS on shareholding.

Not sure I get the shorters are out of ammo? Surely the big shorters must have covered their positions by now, and they would not have initiated new positions whilst the stock price was in the 60p range? Anyone help me with my thinking? Obviously I am big time long on this share and all the recent RNS just confirmed what the company had promised they had been doing. So my position has not changed, whilst the share price has plummeted from 1.70 to 60p ish. Just hope BNN can continue to give the market news, at the right rate, so weCan see a steady climb higher. Would be great if there were a short squeeze, but with that also comes trading activity that can cause spikes, which again cause nervousness. GLA
